I've found a small stash of older jerseys for sale. What I'd like to know is what year they were worn. Is there a site that lists these types of trivial things? I'm sure those of you in the know can tell me off the top of your head!

    OK, here's the quiz:
    1) White shirt, red horizontal striped across a portion of the front (longer stripes over the chest and shorter ones over the abs), 2 stars above the crest, red collar
    2) Black shirt, black mesh on the sides with white fabric under the mesh, no collar (IIRC)
    3) Black shirt, more cottony and thick than typical kits, black collar, I think.

These are all official MLS jerseys being sold for $60. Does it seem like there's collusion on the marketing of jerseys? Are they $60 everywhere?

    Thanks,

    Beaker

    ps. 8 weeks to go!!!!

    1) The away shirt from '00-'02
    2) The home shirt from '02-'03
    3) Could be any one of the home shirts from '96-'02

The font for the numbers changes each year, so you'd have to narrow down the exact year by checking the font if there are numbers. If not, then they aren't necessarily year-specific in those ranges given above.

Also, if they are authentic jerseys (made for numbers to be put on and players to wear) there should be a lime/neon green tag on near the hip (in the side seam of the jersey under the arm) on the jersey that says "Authentic." If not, they're most likely replica jerseys.

Thanks for the notes. These jerseys are replicas, I'm sure. They're for mass retail, not game-use. I didn't look for a green line, but one didn't catch my eye, either. There are no numbers/names on them.

Thank you, again, for the help.
