Nice pickup for that price! Even if you're not training him, he should slot into your starting lineup if you elect to play with an offensive winger. A decent player, I'd typically recommend starting with passable (not inadequate) scoring if that's what you're training, but the passing and the unpredictable are both positives, so he's OK as a trainee.

The SP skill is nice, the lack of passing will cut into resale value. I don't know what the 17-passable scoring market looks like now, though... I don't know what better passing would cost you. Be aware that everyone will be getting a year older in the next day or so, except for YPs starting tonight. If you want to know if a player will age, go by the pull date in the "memorable moments" for the player. Real 17's will be a lot more expensive than what you've been paying.
