uh......did i forget to mention i'm from the west coast? ......alas, i am from NORTHERN CALIFORNIA ......and i despise everything l.a. they've got those damn lakers. and, my god where do i begin with the dodgers? plus, they've sucked n.cal, utah, col, nev, idaho all dry of their drinking water. if i had a big giant saw, i'd slice california in half (just below fresno...i know some people there) and just kick that lower half out towards hawaii. therefore, i can rightly join this cause. [where do i show up for my beer!]

Now don't pick on the Dodgers. After all they started out in Brooklyn. I grew up there (where you learn to use a knife before you learn to use a fork and truly loved "The Boys of Summer". well with the s.f. giants (formerly ny too..) as my 2nd team growing up...i can't tell you the pleasure of watching the few times that s.f. knocked them out of the p.o's when they themselves had no chance to go. [unfortunately, its happened the other way too]. i can't even speak about the la v oak w.s. i've completely blocked it out. i'm shocked with all the pats/revs parallels that my l.a.(via st.l.) "mls' greatest show on surf" tag hasn't caught on.

Well these days I'm from--the other coast--the Atlantic Coast of Canada--namely Price Edward Island. Sue and I are season ticket holders and will be leaving in about two hours for the 14 hour drive down to Rev-land. When they say the soccer fans are fanatics I guess they are talking of people like us BTW for the Giant fans in the group, the Revs comeback this year is just like the 1950 NY Giant comeback. On 4 July they were 15 games out of first place and caught the Dodgers on the last day of the season (Bobby Thompsons 9th inning home run) to win the National League Crown. At that time it was talked around as the greatest comeback of all time. Frankly the Rev turn around is of similar magnitude.
