With schedules. Tres cool eh? Not sure I'm goiong to follow it as closely as I have, cause I'm just too busy but I thought I'd offer this up. (I will comment, however, that The Stallions of DeSales High, Zak's alma mater, playing their usual absurd schedule, has already beaten Westervile North and Walsh Jesuit. Look out. They have a Sept 18 date with Bexley which should be an actual, real live soccer game with talent and a good, knowledgeable crowd and lots of Hollistertastic girls with rich daddies; who can ask for anything more?) 1. Good to see my alma-matter (and defeding Div I state Champs) Stow is off to a smashing start this year. 2 losses and 1 tie with a ? against Solon. It was a fun run last year.
They lost. Sorry. They lost everybody. It'll take a while to get the new kids up to speed. Great run last year, out of nowhere. I knew a good kid from Stow a couple years ago, nice player named Fulmer. He's playing at some college in Indiana. @ DeSales Good game tonight if you've got some time: #3 Dublin Jerome, which still must have a Warzycha around someplace, @ undefeated Thomas Worthington.
That sounds more like the "glory" days when I was on the varsity squad. (For 1 year) Really good for 1 year, then absolutely horrible the year after since everyone graduated.
And just for fun, ya know if you like hanging at Thomas Worthington, Olentangy comes in for a visit Thursday - Olentangy lost Aaron Horton and Chad Barson to Bradenton for residency so obviously they've taken a bit of a hit...
Mason is awesome. My HS varsity team played the Mason freshman team at the Ohio Cup this year, and we lost 10 nil. Our whole team only has 16 players. We suck. We have a game tonight and we are probably gonna lose. When I saw Lakewood I thought it was the Lakewood team from Hebron. We only lost 3-2 against them.
Yeah, but will there be Hollistertastic girls in attendence? 'Cause that'd be the deciding factor for me...

The amazing thing is that loss #1 was against the Blue Streaks from Lake (my alma mater), whose team, despite what their coach thinks, did NOT beat our ('96) record for best season.
But then, the Lake coach is a bit....um......"different". And anyway, yes, they had a good record last year, but they got knocked out in the first round of the tourney. Gonna have to go a few rounds deep before people will start taking your program seriously.
You ain't kiddin'. It's like Ray Hudson without the accent and with ants in his pants. Back in my senior season (which was actually fall of '95), we went 4 rounds deep before we lost to Jackson - on penalties in the sleet - who happened to luck out and play at home. And we actually dominated them, too. Still bitter.
