Wow some harsh words in here. He was great his first season.

Just really unlucky with the ACLs and then Militao getting injured again and David being pushed to play more than he should have coming back.

But its best if the club cuts ties with him.

 

The diss for Alaba is over the top at times. But tbh he is almost as injured as Bale. And we got alot more from Bale.

 

A lot more from Bale. We got a CL trophy from him.

 

If he was respectful to his teammates there wouldn't exist such hate.

But the past couple of seasons he's been really quick to throw his teammates under the bus for goals we've conceded due to his poor positioning.

 

Alaba was ok signing, but of course when you are third or fourht? highest earnier... it's different case.

 

Proof that getting older players on a free can backfire if you don't make sure you keep them only on short term.

 

For Iker, IT WAS USUALLY THE DEFENSE'S FAULT tho.

With David he gets angry at teammates even if it was mostly his fault.

 

I hate that period of time in Iker's career, but now you are comparing the god level that Iker had in the club vs Alaba's level? gimme a break.
You can cut some slack to players that achieved something at the club level. Some slack.

He is basically the 25th registered player until further notice. If he every shows up just consider it a bonus.

 

I don't want to pile on when the man is down, he was massive in the 2022 Champions League campaign...

But I still can't believe we entrusted him to play left back against Arsenal and Saka in a Champions League quarterfinal in 2025 with hardly any minutes under his belt in over a year. Absolutely shocking. Not that we had many options, but man I can't stomach going that low in the depth chart again at that stage of the CL

 

Fran was available tbh. Not saying he'd have done the job well, but at least he had healthy legs unlike Alaba.

 

Well there was a game when Carlo started Mendy fresh from 3 months out. Only to get injured a few minutes in. Coincidentally, Fran who came on did a decent job.

That was an elementary level mistake.

 

I'll never forget when Ronaldinho ate helguera twice (when the bernabeu applauded him) how pissed casillas was making an over the top arm gestures both just stood there lol

 

We should pull a Hazard and end his contract via mutual consent. He's done and we could use that space for someone younger.

 

I like Alaba as a player and he seems like a class act, but damn - he has been totally unreliable. We kept planning and waiting around his return. All the other injuries in defense over the past few years (Mendy, Militao, Carvajal, even Joan Martinez) just made things much worse

Dont think its his fault, so I wont blame the guy for it, but it sucks

Honestly, it makes me appreciate Rudiger even more. He’s been the one constant. Without him, we’d be in an even bigger mess.

 

We only did that for hazard cause he showed for 3 years to be completly and utterly useless. People ahe honestly the worst. Alaba has been a good servant, dont put him in the same category as hazard.... But then again you did put up that shit thread title basically disrespecting a club legend ...

 

It was a cheeky joke, I'm not the bandwagon fan who wants to get Vini, Tchouameni, etc. sold everytime their form dips.

 

Massive is a stretch. Courtois was massive that season.

 

The whole "selling Tchouameni agenda" makes me laugh, just because he can't pick out a pass like Toni Kroos. That guy has been our best midfielder in 2025.

 

And he is like TOP5 in salary list???
