You're right, he could have been injured worse! Or a butterfly could have flapped its wings in Brazil and prevented it all!

It was a non-contact injury, so it was probably on the cards. Main point is that it was a dumb/ironic thing to specify as a reason Rudiger didn't get enough rest.

 

Whether he’ll be injured in a Madrid kit or not, I would still rather have that that extra body if the price wasn’t so outrageous.
