Tweet apologies. And for those that don't know, that is Chappell Roan. Who got famous on gay culture, is gay (Hilarious), complained that Dems were just as bad as Republicans on transgender rights while being too afraid (or is complicit) to speak out against her uncle. Her uncle is a GOP politician who has sponsored various anti-trans bills in her home state. Anyway, I hope it was worth it for her to be the worst kind of opinionated. https://t.co/oql3RzRscW pic.twitter.com/MONumiDSpI— Jeremy Fassler (@J_fassler) November 7, 2025
Dinesh is a subhuman racist. He had to know racism doesn't end with targeting Black people. It's a weapon that people with light skin and light, straight hair can use against those with less. He seems now to have an issue with his and Vivek's not-top-shelf place in the American food chain. So, having your foot on my neck and your children drinking my blood isn't enough?
She's someone only you know well enough to get and stay this triggered about. It's going to blow up. At the end, nobody is going to want to be part of this country, so don't sweat it. I have REAL concerns and your life is not going to be affected. Why am I calm while you whine like you're actually losing something?
That's what happens when POCs from South Asia bring their stupid caste ideas here. America is a nation of two colors. White and other. Usha Vance can't ******** her way to Whiteness. Why does Sepoy D'Strokejowls think his status wherever he came from would even begin to do anything for him?
Her audience is the gays. The gays turned the f*ck out to vote for Harris. Her saying she was voting for Harris but didn't feel she could endorse had zero effect on this election. Your obsession with this incredibly inconsequential woman is weird. Mod note: Edited by Val. The deleted was needlessly provacative.
It's been a tough week for him/her/they. He/She/They is/are frustrated. He/She/They knows the Democratic Party is moving in a direction that is going to make him/her/them end up voting Republican by the end of the decade.
If socialism is making them MAGA, I won't complain. Education is a state function, so this isn't ever going to be sorted out for me. Let it blow up.
They don't want to live in New York. Which is understandable if they're not rich. As I've said before, it takes a shitload of money to make use of living in a large metro area. Plenty of people move to a big city, see some performance street art and graffiti vandalism and think they're part of something, but the fact is that they can't afford the REAL stuff* that sets big cities apart from the rest of the country. So they live like the Evans family in the midst of the Huxtable lifestyle they'll never experience. Hint: The real stuff is not grass roots with the suitcase open for tips shit. That's just reverse snobbery.
More interesting than Chappell Roan and her minuscule role in this all might be how the international TERF brigade will respond to this. The policies they have dreamed about are being enacted by some of the absolute worst people in the world. You would think that eventually they would have an "Are we the baddies?" type moment? But nope.
https://fortune.com/2025/11/07/coal-miners-black-lung-trump-working-man/ Miners are shocked Trump made it worse for them
"Dangnabit I'd vote for him again too!" Former coal miner and black lung disease patient Roger James pauses to catch his breath after walking across the parking lot at the Maynor Freewill Baptist Church, Sept. 24, 2025, in Beckley, W.Va. "Freewill" Like this dude's future wasn't etched in stone from the moment he fell outta his momma onto the shotgun shack's floor.
I’ve heard Freewill Baptists mocked as Foot Washing Baptists. Not sure why or how that joke is supposed to be funny, but I thought the board would appreciate a journey into the mind of the small town South. It denotes very severe Baptists, basically the last stop before the train station at Snake Handler City.
I grew up in a state where Republicans had a majority in at least one chamber of government. For nearly 100% of my life. You know how much work has had to be done to get things better? MI Dems finally got one trifecta and for once I got to see what an effective state government looks like. Be grateful Alabama at least had Dems in majority in some chambers in the last couple of decades. It ain't blowing up like you think if you pay attention to what's going on. But if Dems manage to be in charge, it's going to be a lot of work.
If she was just another popstar I wouldn't have cared. But because she claims to be a lesbian and has a gay fanbase while not mentioning her Republican uncle, I'm gonna have a problem with that. Especially as I have a few family members that are openly gay (One of them since the 60s) along with several friends. Mod Note: Lightly edited by Val. Phedre's line to you, Kaz, skirted the line, but you blew right through it.
While true in the US, that isn't so elsewhere in the world. Racism exists everywhere and takes all kinds of forms against all kinds of folk.
"You know Roger, the reason you have black lung is because you worked for a company that treated you like an expendable piece of equipment. Those are same people getting richer off of Trump."
Man, that was a hard article to read. If mining is what they know, and they're not educated for better than dying in the mines, and if they're not socialized to go somewhere better, my heart goes out to them. This shouldn't be anybody's lot in life in 21st Century America. And yet... they voted for more fvckin' Donald Trump. Talk about an own goal. Roadkit said it right. The rich see these guys as expendable. And they are bringing it on themselves. Sigh.
I'm reminded of that scene in The Matrix where Morpheus says something like some folk still plugged in are so hopelessly reliant on the system they'll fight and die to protect it. Pretty much sums it up.
@Val I wish you'd left it. I had to read that vile, non-consensual bit of porn-brained nonsense, but everyone else who missed it gets to go about their lives blissfully unaware of what kind of person he is.
