There is a simpler explanation. Every demographic has their share of complete assholes. This lady just happens to be a lesbian and is 100% asshole.
A long time ago, back when I still identified as a Christian before my BigSoccer days, I participated in a discussion forum called the Gay Christian Network. There were a lot of Republicans on that site, including numerous young-earth creationists. I was "run out of town" largely because of my evolution-accepting stance, which was not acceptable to many there. It was one of the last nails in the coffin for my Christian identity.
Since we don’t have a thread for tracking fascism’s successes, I’ll put this here. Trump is going to wind down FEMA and from now on aid will come directly from the president. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-new...ueanthem&utm_medium=social&utm_source=bluesky Again, Democrats should be positioning themselves as the leopards. They should be making the point that they will adopt the same position until the red states bow to their masters. Heads the fascists win, tails they get to try again can never be a winning strategy, so it has to be jettisoned. I think a big source of Democratic disillusionment is we’re tired of always having to be the responsible one. We’re tired of bailing out our crack and gambling addicted sibling. We need to break the cycle.
Christian Identity brings something else to mind for me. https://www.adl.org/resources/backgrounder/christian-identity Now I see an explanation of the fixation some have with the Khazars in certain corners of the net.
No. What the party leaders are failing to do is get a message out there. They are feckless. They should be warning everybody what is happening, what are the consequences, and what is going to happen and those consequences. Right now? Silence.
Jesus Fing Christo on a Cubano - this is like a 7 course face meal for a starving leopard. Again, thank you, delusional S. FL Cubans. MIAMI — After four months with President Donald Trump at the helm, Reinerio de la Torre says he's waiting to see if the president fulfills his promises. The 56-year-old electrician, who came from Cuba 18 years ago, voted for Trump in November. But he says the president has gone too far with immigration, and he doesn’t like to see hardworking people being deported. De la Torre also disagrees with the partial travel ban on Cuba, saying “visas should be decided case by case.” But it’s still early in the presidency and we have to give him time to see what he does,” de la Torre said outside Hialeah’s City Hall, where roosters were heard crowing in the background. The street that runs across from it was recently named after the president. Patricia, 52, who declined to give her last name, echoed de la Torre’s sentiment. “He is deporting innocent people, and I don’t like the tariffs, but maybe at the end it will be for the better,” she said. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/latino...da-immigration-policy-deportations-rcna211874
https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/t...-fuel-boogaloo.2133203/page-261#post-42872030 Pittsburgh Ref has a good analysis as well: https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/t...-fuel-boogaloo.2133203/page-261#post-42872086 The cracks will appear when there is a severe storm (e.g. blizzard, hurricane) that is multi-state requiring coordination and/or the coordination logistics for that event are spread too thin (aka statewide). The only upside is that extreme weather events are occurring with more frequency and intensity, meaning the US will get to see Trump's emergency skills up close ..just like we saw with the COVID 2020 response.
I forgot to add that we will also see his masterclass in assigning blame to everyone under the sun, except himself.
People growing up believing that politicians never keep their promises are surprised when one keeps his.
"Meh, slightly annoyed that my revenue will dry up. But I mostly support what Trump is trying to do. Yeah, I'd vote for him for a 3rd term. But know what I finally realized when I saw ICE cuffing them? (Choking up) These are real people, man! With wives and kids who love them. And just like that (snaps fingers) they're gone. Mr President, if you're listening. I urge you to reconsider taking these fine men away from us. They're good men who work hard. Just trying to live the American dream like so many who came here before. Have a heart, sir" Scardina says he voted for Trump and still supports many of the former president’s policies, but this isn’t what he signed up for. “Buyer’s remorse? I don’t know, a little bit.”
The funniest part is they didn’t want to believe it when they were warned and their response was, “we’ve dealt with dictators before, Trump doesn’t scare us.” At this rate, there’s going to be an Ozempic shortage.
I’d modify it to: Muslims cannot successfully break bread with a racist through their shared bigotry.
