Nope, this one in Texas: https://www.propublica.org/article/nevaeh-crain-death-texas-abortion-ban-emtala
From the link: Fails and Crain believed abortion was morally wrong. The teen could only support it in the context of rape or life-threatening illness, she used to tell her mother. They didn’t care whether the government banned it, just how their Christian faith guided their own actions. Her folks likely made a conscious decision to live among people with like political views. If she had been a resident of a state where this could have been dealt with, she might be alive. ...only the best chickens come home to roost. Only the best...
Does the gutting, or outright elimination, of public health count? When measles and hepatitis and HIV and syphilis and tuberculosis and polio, etc, outbreaks are widespread, when half of all children under 5 die from a preventable disease...will that be a face eating moment?
Like with abortions, the rich & connected will find a way to immunize their brats even under Secretary Babybear Killer
I heard if you buy a SpaceX season pass and pledge to drop 5 dead bears annually at your local re-edjamacation camp, you get in a lottery for aspirin, which you can buy at cost.
Of course. If they voted for the leopards? It’s in. If they did not…but their grieving family did…it’s in but the focus should be on the family. Did they sit idly by in the leopard pen while people were warning them but they were too comfortable in the protections the anti-leopard party had fought for decades to provide them…yeah those ********ers are in too. As are the “I thought both the leopards and the anti leopards”were the same. They’re definitely in.
On a personal note, my niece-transitioning-nephew voted for Trump. He said it was because of the economy. Watch this space
Police hunt 43 monkeys that escaped from a South Carolina research facility Oh, so this is THAT timeline.
Oh for ********'s sake. edit: I've had several conversations recently where I have expressed my concern that the young LGBT+ generation has no idea of what it was like prior to Lawrence v Texas.
My first reaction was to say nothing when he told me. My second reaction is that he is welcome to vote for whoever he feels best represent him. But he needs to be sure about what he is voting for. His sister tore him a new one. here is the clincher - he lives in Kentucky. I am absolutely terrified for him because of where he lives and what is coming for him and the Leopard Eating Faces party.
That’s all rumor and fake news. All those diseases are obsolete. Anyone taking precautions should be jailed for child cruelty.
He has it coming. I have no sympathy for him, and I wouldn't have any for a relative of my own who did that shit.
Actually, I was paraphrasing someone from Michigan who opposed Harris because a Trump win would mean that the Democrats, because they oppose him, will come out for the Palestinians. The problem with that logic is that that support does absolutely no good if you have no power to affect policy.
He is 21. And I agree with you. He has a Latina girlfriend and they both really do not understand the $hit my sisters went through growing up as the only Latinos in a 30 mile radius. to recap I was called a ch*nk in primary school ago: https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/racism-always-and-forever.2110832/page-152#post-40055376 My sister reminded me that she got in trouble in 3rd grade for asking my mom what a w#tback and sp!c meant.
That tracks then. Basically his entire life homosexuality has been legal throughout the US, there has been positive representation on TV, in movies and even in music. I mean, he would have been 2 years old or so when Brokeback Mountain and Transamerica were highly visible and getting Oscar nominations. This is one of the great issues the LGBT+ community faces - because we are born into heterosexual families and because of the school system, it is very difficult to pass our history down to the next generation. As such, victories can often be short-term.
