1920622874181681541 is not a valid tweet id Well there went my shoe business. I don't understand why the tariffs have to eliminate the de minimis exemption. Why does government punish small businesses in this country knowing full well that Nike and all the big brands will be fine paying the taxes but Steffi and I get wiped out? Big Trumpet who voted Trump to own the libs. The responses are great too
I am shocked that making culture-war outrage the basis of your politics leads to bad policies. Shocked, I tell you.
Had to look him up. Considers himself a "minarchist," that is, an anarchist who advocates for the least amount of government possible. So he votes for the guy who has ICE battering down doors and who pushes punitive tariffs. I hope the leopard doesn't get sick digesting this guy's face.
The one thing I regret about dropping X is not being able to witness responses to posts like this in real time. Actually….now that I think about it….I probably miss the ability to directly participate in the mockery a bit more. Ok…a lot more. I suddenly feel like a recovering alcoholic staring at a Macallan 18
"Becky, you were supposed to remain chaste until the right WHITE man comes along. You and your breed baby need to repent and try to live the rest of your lives as quietly as possible..."
Pro-Trump Green Card Holder Was Arrested by ICE After Over 30 Years in US He was released in late April but spent 2 months in detention. I found this tidbit interesting:
Old Tennis Shoes was the blended whiskey Lee Chong sold at the Heavenly Grocery on Cannery Row... (Its manufacturer called it "Old Tennessee.".) (You could also pay for some at Wide Ida's, but what came out of the bottle may never have actually seen the Old Tennessee distillery.)
For that guy with the shoe business - what exactly was his business? He wasn't making shoes, I'm pretty sure about that. It sounds like he was importing from China, hence the complaint that the tariffs put him out of business, and he mentions the "de minimis exemption" which meant that he was importing things under $800 per shipment tariff-free until Trump "liberated" him from that exemption last month. But it doesn't sound like the kind of business that creates value or jobs. He's just importing small numbers of cheap shoes from China and selling them in the US at a markup. Just a middleman, taking his cut and raising prices for consumers. The inefficiency of the free market.
Well, where do you think the new recruits for ICE are coming from? This boy needs to put his actions in alignment with his beliefs! -Ted Cruz in a desperate attempt to stay relevant and hoping Don doesn't remember his name is really Rafael.
Don’t get me wrong…I take great joy in this guys demise….but this is a pretty naive take on the value companies that contract directly with Chinese….or any foreign manufacturer…in order to bring those products to market here in the US. If it were that easy…everyone of his customers would have done it themselves. And paid hell of a lot more for their efforts…assuming this nameless faceless Chinese manufacturer would even accept their orders….should they actually be able to find out who they are.
That's not what small companies do any more. Now the products are conceived, designed, engineered, and manufactured in China and the importer simply tells the factory to slap their brand on it. You just go to AliExpress or other similar web sites, find something you think will sell in America, and buy it. And "small" is relative - Raycon does $100 million in revenue following this model.
Owning the libs is the only reward for loyalty to Trump. Here's another one who doesn't understand that. He voted to own the libs. He even said he voted to own the libs. Well, he's getting to own the libs. It's just that he doesn't get to own jack else. He needs to let his privilege be his comfort in these tough times... Alternate take: Give that boy a job working for someone whose income and assets prove he deserves to own a business and watch him lose that job. Behind every other "entrepreneur" is a loser who can't adjust to a regular work schedule and the presence/under the supervision of people who don't aways share his interests. Oh, and fascism don't care about his shoes
