Finally, the moment you've all been waiting for! Webmaster Andrew and I have finally put together some Arsenal America merchandise. Full disclosure: We tried to keep the prices as low as possible. Neither I nor Andrew are looking to pocket a penny from the sale of these items. Any money we receive (no more than a buck or two per shirt) will go directly into Arsenal America. Specifically, we are looking to get one of those super cool stadium flags that will say Arsenal America and have the U.S. and Canadian flags. The whole thing we be on a St. George's cross. We'll take it to Highbury, Nevada Smith's and maybe a DC, Philly and/or West Coast bar. I've never really asked you guys to pay for anything up to this point, I really hope you guys dig the shirts because we'd love to get this flag in time for next season. If you guys are really quick maybe we can bring it to the ManU tour! So get buy something already! www.arsenalamerica.com
Nicely done, you guys. I went ahead and ordered my stuff a few minutes ago, and am looking forward to getting it and wearing it proudly.
I'd never visited Arsenal America before, but one of the quotes from there will be adorning my sig for quite some time.
RICK: If I give you an address to mail mine to in VA. for July, I will wear it regularly when I attend the "USA CUP" in MN. in July.
And they come in extended sizes for those ArsenalAmerica members like myself, who, have a bit more "ArsenalAss" to cover...
In lieu of dues, this is just the right thing to do. Ordered my 3/4 sleeves just now. Thanks Andrew and Rick.
Im surprised nothing is in French? They are a French club, aren't they? Seriously though, that is a very nice website and wish ManU had somethng like this.
Ordred one myself, they take paypal too so its really easy to order so you guys all out of excuses if you still have not ordred one.
This is the message I received the other day from PayPal: "Your request to send an eCheck payment to paypal@cafepress.com from your bank account failed because your recipient is currently unable to accept funds to their PayPal account." Cafepress have yet to respond to my requests for clarification on why their account won't accept PayPal.
Speaking of the shirts... Just got my order today, and I'll have to take a closer look to pass full judgement. On first look, though, I see both good and bad: GOOD -sizes are true, unlike stuff you buy in Europe -quality of the shirt seems good - thick, soft BAD -the text color is more reddish-orange than red. Maybe it's just me -the logo on one of the shirts is crooked. Not too thrilled about that. Like I said, I need to take a closer look.
I just received my ArseAm T-shirt today, but have to say that I'm pretty dissapointed with the product for the following reasons: The color of the print isn't the Arsenal red we're used to, it's an orange-red blend and the logo/printing isn't done by screenprinting, but are rather iron-ons (it'll be interesting how many drying cycles it can take). And finally the printing on the back is wickedly crooked. Can't say that I would recommend Cafepress products to anyone after seeing this. The one good thing is that it supports arsenal america.
Afraid of this Thanks for the detailed report on the shirt. Sorry the thing sucks. One of the problems we had in bringing something to market without outlaying a big chunk of our own $$ was the fact we didn't get to see the quality until someone made an order (mine hasn't arrived yet). If it really blows, send it back. We'll try to find a better solution. We just wanted to get something out there and thought this would be a good solution. Bummer.
I don't think anyone balme you guys at all. You guys could have just as easily turned a blind eye to those of us who were calling for ArsenalAmerica gear and instead took care of the request. My impression of the shirt isn't quite the same as when I opened the package. Thanks again to the guys at arsenalamerica.
