was it pretty inexpensive? i feel like Poland would be pretty affordable on a European scale. I also can't imagine Kenny is making an awful lot there

wow according to NUMBEO.COM (great site for comparing costs between cities FYI) a 1 bedroom in the city center of gdansk is about 600/month not too shabby

He's making plenty. He's on loan, so Anderlecht have to make up any difference between what Gdansk are paying him and his Anderlecht salary. Playing in Poland is wounding to his pride, certainly, as it's a clear statement by Anderlecht that they don't want him and that nobody better than a mid-table side in Europe's 30th-placed league (which is 9 places below the Israeli league) wanted him either, and it's not going to help him develop professionally but there's no financial damage.

It's a shame they're ranked so low by UEFA. Hopefully that's improving.

It's not, really. 30th is the lowest Poland has been in the UEFA coefficients in this century.

    They've been as high as 16th in 2004, and 18th in 2016.

Poland is the second-lowest-ranked country with a team left in Europe this season though (Ireland is 37th and has Dundalk in the EL group stage), so if Lech Poznan can get some points in the Europa League, this could be their best year in Europe in a while.

That's not likely to benefit their ranking though, because their best year still active in the rankings is 2016-17, which drops off after this season. On that alone, they'll drop another 2 spots in the rankings going into next season, falling behind Slovenia and Slovakia.

    Interesting tweet during the match:

50 'This is not a Kenny Saief game. Conrado shot him the ball on an empty goal, and he ... aimed it at the railway station.
