With him having limited minutes but having scored 5 goals. He has a goal contribution every 79 minutes. Which is a crazy output
Let's not overreact too much here. The league is not that competitive, even compared to kleague. He needs to prove himself he can do the same thing in a big league. Not denying his potential.. it's just that he is young and he still needs to improve a lot of things.. He showed a lot of weaknesses in the previous international matches.
CONFIRMED: St Mirren have signed Celtic midfielder Hyeokkyu Kwon on loan until the end of the season. pic.twitter.com/88DGAWBM8x— Anthony Joseph (@AnthonyRJoseph) January 12, 2024
It seems Kwon's debut for St. Mirren went well, and instead of 60, he got the full 90 minutes. People are echoing the career of Kristoffer Ajer, who blossomed after a loan to Kilmarnock. May Kwon do the same. Quite impressed with Kwon Hyeok-kyu on debut for St Mirren. Celtic loanee clearly eager to impress. Looked good technically, comfortable off both feet & pressed well. Darren O’Dea in attendance to watch him. Robinson planned on giving him 60 but played full game pic.twitter.com/pFRJIRZK4K— Euan Booth Robertson (@EuanBRobertson) January 20, 2024
Kwon had a goal ruled out for St. Mirren yesterday, and Yang assisted for Celtic's third goal today. His entry changed the game and helped us turn a losing result into a win.
yes as you said he changed the game last wknd and most Hoops fans got their wish with Kyogo benched, Idah starting, Yang starting and Iwata starting CAM. Seems Yang continued his momentum with a MOM performance. 7 goals and didn't score, but that says a lot about his start today - seems he terrorized Dundee down his flank and kept putting great balls into the box. Hopefully he can make RW his own for the run-in.
It is my hope that Kwon and Iwata end up as our DMF options next season. Balance in the midfield is making us better. And a focus on crossing. Yang is popular now.
Complete disasterclass today for Celtic. Yang sent off at ‘16. Got his boot up. Idah missed an early pen and seems nobody showed up to play today. They could have gone top of the table. Learning process for YHJ today but he cost his team
That was just a yellow card foul- a high boot attempting to get the ball shouldn't be a red. Maeda was sent off by VAR for an honest attempt to get the ball in Champions League, as well. Today, fighting for the ball is seemingly not allowed.
yes agree. I've seen it better now. More footage available. It's at best a soft highly debatable red. There was no intent to injure, should have been a yellow and no one would have made a fuss. Even down a man, you guys held possession but it's too bad the overall team performance was not there to get a result.
We had 3 more shots than Hearts, and the same number of shots on target. A draw would have been fair, even with a man down. I hope our players get angry. 2 points can be overturned in one game at Ibrox, or the matter delayed with a draw until we face Rangers at Parkhead. We just need focus.
Yang has been criticized a lot this season. But today, he's had two assists and a goal in a Scottish Cup game. With Maeda suspended for the next CL game against Bayern, Yang will surely at least enter from the bench. It would be awesome if he could play with courage.
Yang had a great game yesterday scoring one of the goals, the fans are really coming on to his side now, he is improving all the time.
