If CGS does come, it means either Furuhashi is leaving in the summer, or our manager will start using a 4-4-2. Maeda plays on the wing most of the time for us.
are you a Celtic supporter? does Ange prefer Maeda to Kyogo now? Kyogo couldn't have had a better start at Parkhead?
Been a Celtic supporter since 2006. Maeda plays RW or LW 90% of the time. Very rarely did he start at centre forward for us. Kyogo 's competition was Giakoumakis, but he'll leave for MLS. Kyogo is great (could reach 30 goals this season), but teams that know how to do a low block properly will stop him if he is the lone striker. This happens against Rangers or in Europe. OHG or possibly CGS have the height and build to do things Kyogo can't. Honestly, I want us to use a 4-4-2 in Europe.
thanks for the intel. exciting times to be Hoops. Wow, Kyogo done fantastic. Comsidering how he's built, he's brought skill to your attack it seems? SPL still about getting stuck in no? In that sense, agree, the Kor's have the height and build to cope better.
It's more like steady. The league should be in the bag. I suppose the cop competitions might be exciting. Soon-ish, the final of the Scottish League Cup against Rangers will happen, though. Kyogo scored against Rangers, but it took the introduction of Giakoumakis to free up space for the No. 8 to equalize. I hope Oh Hyeon-gyu will gain enough match fitness to play a big part in this fixture.
Old Firm cup final? Does not get bigger than that. When will that match be? Turned into a must-watch. Thanks
Turns out it's on the 26th. I thought it was a bit earlier, but no. I suspect Kyogo will start that one, but knowing how his games usually go, Rangers will flood their own box and prevent his usual magic. Maybe I'm wrong, and Ange starts Oh. He had started Giakoumakis against Rangers in some previous matches- to great success. Their low block hates a striker who can survive a physical duel and push back.
Oh entered the game as per usual. This time he forced an opposition defender to foul him. Result: red card and a free kick, from which Celtic scored.
Aaaand that's his first goal. Scored a rebound off of McGregor's shot to make it 3-0 against St. Mirren in the Scottish Cup.
There's a lot of games left to play. If he is given at least 30 minutes per match (and some starts), getting more than 5 total should be realistic.
Alert: Oh Hyeon-gyu is starting against Aberdeen! Furuhashi had a minor injury, and even though he's recovered, the manager doesn't want to risk him starting, because next week there'll be a cup final against the hated city rivals Rangers.
He tried, but seemed to be out of luck- no cross or pass could find him in a good position. Although, I think his presence forced Aberdeen's defense to not block late runners from the midfield, and that's how the first 2 goals happened.
Yes. Aberdeen dropped deep to form so-called 'park-the-bus' strategy around their own 18. And Celtic barely played Oh with long balls to utilize his frame.
Had some 25 minutes in the Viaplay Cup final against Rangers, and used his energy to stabilize the game- preventing Rangers from besieging Celtic at a tricky 2-1 scoreline.
This is his taste of what Celtic players go through. The fierce atmosphere, the tough clashes, and then...triumph.
Just saw the highlight. I think a bit lucky to go under the goalie and in but hey we'll take it! It's not like anyone else from Korea is scoring in Great Britain...
