Dario Simic is linked with Everton http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?hlid=405786&CPID=21&clid=120&lid=2&title=Simic+claims+Everton+interest I like Hibbert and all, but he couldn't pass a ball, cross or shoot a ball for the life of him. Simic would be great on the right side. The only thing Hibbert can do is tackle the ball, and most of the time, he isn't fast enough to get to the person he's trying to tackle.
I just have one thing to say: If Tottenham can get Manchester United to pay £18 million for Carrick, we got ripped off in the Rooney deal.
They sold RvN for 11 and bought carrick for 18 they got their prices abit cookoo Ruud should be 18, Carrick should be 8 .... and thats pushing it
Carrick at 18 mio is laughable Ashley Cole at 30 mio is laughable Ruud van Nistelrooy then at 20 mio is even more ridiculous, because I rate him >than both of them!!!
German weekly "Sportbild" today reports that Everton will sign Delron Buckley on a permanent deal for 525.000 Euro. Though the magazine itself is not the best source, but I believe this deal will go through.
South African dude currently with Borussia Dortmund. http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/moyes-on-buckley.html
The way Moyes has been playing Buckley suggested that he would not. But another wing player is ok. We've done a lot better with cheaper transfers than expensive ones.
Maybe you are right. Other sources tell me that Everton called off the Buckley transfer (as the transfer of Lee Carsley to Wolverhampton collapsed) and instead Sheffield United is interested. We'll see what will happen.
Seems like we will get a decision tomorrow on Buckley. Also, it seems that released Manchester City midfielder Antoine Sibierski is being targeted by Moyes. At 32, he's getting there in age, but he can act as a backup forward or even winger and attacking midfielder.
More competition, more options on the wings now we've lost VdM i assume. Buckley plays on the left so he could take Vdm's spot. Hmm...maybe Buckley spiked the drink??
Buckley was one of the top scorers in die Bundesliga 2 years ago for Arminia Bielefeld, then transferred to Dortmund where he was marginalized. Buckley is extremely fast, has good pace, but apart from that, nothing much else. Incidently, thats the one thing Everton lacks.
Everton made a rather interesting move today, signing 16 year old Norwegian goalkeeper Lars Stubhaug on a 2 year deal, with a transfer fee of 500K pounds. With Iain Turner and John Ruddy already, this is a rather perplexing move
