All I can say, Metz, is that I really hope you get the team you wish for this season. I figure if you're happy, the rest of us will be dancing in the streets with joy! ;)

    Hey Metz,

I posted it here for you a page or two back. I hope I'm not on your ignore list.;)

As for Stammler and Sassano on defence, I don't know about that. Stammler was tried as a CB with mixed results. I can recall him getting pushed aside like a rag doll by a Chivas forward (if I remember correctly). I haven't seen Sassano back there to make any judgements. Maybe Seattle will take Goldy and Boyens for the rights to Parke. Also, maybe somehow we can get Conde, if not directly from Chicago, then via a third team. Parke, Conde, Petke and Mendes would be the best CB options in the league.

Interesting that a goalkeeper (Alec Duffy) is the long holdout from the trialist that came in January. I don't know, but it looks to me that one of our potential starters (Conway or Cepero) might be on the way out if Osorio, indeed, wants to go with three goalkeepers. I can see Conway being traded and Osorio going with Cepero, Boss and trialist Duffy. Then again, Boss might be the one to be waived when he recovers from injury.

My guess is that they cut Boss, and maybe attempt to deal Pants.

hey if they deal pants i will be so happy....

as of right now we have 28 (27 with out B.O. on the roster) we need to bring it down to 24....

    4 ideal waves / trades

1.trade conway for allocation ( can't put more players on the team)
    2. Waive Etch or sell him back to columbia
    3. waive palacio
    4. trade lietch, woly or stammler for allocation money (stammler being major allocation)

so right there we are left at 24 players.... and a lot of alocation and lots of cap space....

so we have around 500k is allocation right now that ends this year.... and if we bring in new players, i would say bye bye to the draft players except B.O. and hall where hall is not on the salery cap....

We've got 28 players? I'm fairly sure we'll have to get rid of at least 4 of them.

Osorio is currently on a scouting trip - I'm assuming he's scouting players he's already targeted.

Figure at the very least he brings ONE player in (a defender).

So 5 will have to go - more, obviously, if Osorio brings in more foreign talent.

I like the idea of trading for allocations rather than just waiving. But we have to be careful of not sacrificing depth...

Started this and it was too much fun not to post. A few potential line-ups, just messing around:

    Angel Oduro
    Smith Rojas Richards
    Stammler
    Goldthwaite Boyens Petke Leitch
    Cepero

    ***

    Kandji Woly
    Ubi
    Borman Hall Mbuta
    Sassano
    Traynor Mendes Zimmerman
    Conway

    ***

    Angel
    Smith Rojas Richards
    Sassano Pietravallo
    Goldthwaite Boyens Petke Lietch
    Cepero

    ***

Doing this, I actually think our team is looking pretty good so far. Not quite total depth...but not far off from having 2 players fight for every 1 position.

Yes, we could use a stud defender (like a lot of MLS teams) - from all indications that's what Osorio is scouting for right now. ...And I actually think Babajide Ogunbiyi will sign and fight for a place by mid-season...

I really don't believe a Coach, any coach will use one of yours Line UP, no one of the three, but this one here, shut man, no even after 10 day in CRAK party any coach will have the balls to insinuate this line up....

    Hey sunshine :) Everything OK?

If you notice, I put "for fun" on the post, and "messing around"...because it's fun. Ya know? Remember fun?

(And it was showing off the different position players we have in a graphical manner...if you want something more concrete and technical :) )

so much for Osorio's colombian connections. Seattle just signed John Kennedy Hurtado, a 24yo defender from depor cali. Apparently he's fast and just completed a trial with Milan. Yet we're scouting in Honduras lol

If he was any good, he'd still be in Milan.
