Yeah after your players hacked us game after game, you finally pulled a game out your ass! Way to go!

Now we have to wait a month to get revenge.

Damn it all to hell. Those spawney bastards pulled another one out of their anus. That means I'm gonna have to lend my "support" to the F*re just to spite the Scum. What a waste of a night.

    :(

at least no one else got hurt, and warren's red card doesn't effect the season games.

with all the success the team has had this season, it sure is hard for us to catch a break. what a crazy season we've had so far. i can't wait to see what is left in store for us.

    I'm crushed. :(

Congrats to the team for coming so close. Well done. Hold your heads high, because you played a very good Cup.

Well, it looks like an "All Bruce Arena Assistant" Open Cup Final.

Thanks for showing your class as supporters of the beautiful game to all of the DC supporters on this thread (with the notable exception of Darth Hooliewannabe). Chin up, even if we win this thing AND the MLS Cup, you've still got bragging rights!

MLSNet.com game log shows Warren getting a Red Card in the 48 minute, but then has him making saves for the rest of the game. What gives? Also how does DC United get 3 Yellows and 1 Red with the Metroscum getting none? Did we just get caught retaliating? Or was the ref a bum? Thanx in advance for your answers

Possibly, but Etcheverry is needed for us on Saturday. We played without several key players, went a man down, lost our starting GK, played a rookie in his place, and still managed to score. We lost. It's tough, but we will deal. We win on Saturday, we clinch a spot. That's all that matters right now.

MLSnet was high. Geddes came on after Warren was sent off. Ref didn't sound too bad, but I could be wrong.

This is very disappointing, but you have to give credit to the Metros for what sounds like a hard-fought win.

I know THAT, but a manager must have some say on whether a player is there or not, right?

    Nice run!

It was a nice run, I got to see the Riverhounds game at Germantown and read a lot of other stories about people here making the road trips to other cities to follow this run. My wife and I even ran into the team at Charlotte after their win in Charleston. These are the memories I'll keep. I'm bummed about the loss, I really wanted them to win this Cup, but as a fan, I'm proud of their efforts and am confident they can clinch a spot in the playoffs shortly.

    Exactly.

Somebody here has some perspective. Atlantic Cups and USOC's don't matter as much as the MLS Cup. The other two are a lot easier to win than MLS Cup (in which you own a 3-0 advantage.), so don't fret.

Was this the last game of the suspension stemming from the Brian Hall USOC incident two years ago?
