why wasn't the game shown live? I thought I read last week at ussoccer that the game was gonna be on espn2 live. What happened?
that sucks why can i never see these games live!! How many frickin hunting, bowling, pool, worlds storngest man, etc shows do they have on espn2. Can't squeeze in something people might actually watch?
Re: that sucks ESPN doesn't have squeeze sqaut in. Why should they pay for a product when it is not financially feasible? Blame U.S. Soccer. However, U.S. Soccer doesn't want to shell out the money to pay a network to broadcast a friendly vs. a "minnow". U.S. Soccer pays to have the games on T.V. The game vs. Argentina was televised because it was Argentina. It is easier to sell advertising time for a game vs. Argentina than is for one vs. Jamaica (or Canada). The main advertisers for the hunting programs pay to have these types of programs aired on ESPN. I think the same applies for billiards and the poker (recreational events) that are on ESPN. The PBA pays to broadcast the bowling, much like MLS. The World's Strongest Man is an ABC product from the past and really should be on ESPN Classic, but that is splitting hairs.
Facts please. The game was scheduled on ESPN. The Jamaican Football Federation changed the time of the match. ESPN already had college basketball scheduled from 7-9pm. End of story.
Rebroadcast? Okay, so the game was shown tape delay on Telemundo. I don't suppose it's going to show up anywhere else? Is Japan on 3.29.03 scheduled to be on ESPN or ABC?
