Going into the Toronto game, TT has four cautions with 3 games to go for the good behavior incentive.
Doesn’t sound like he will avoid suspension. This team seems to have increased its execution of little but card-worthy fouls from behind. Seems to be more of an intimidation tactic, not so much fouls of frustration or fatigue.
Tommy is going to need to learn to foul tactically due to his speed. Also, the defensive skills and accountability he's learning at a back will serve him well the rest of his career.

TT has made incredible strides this season. Even though his goal against LA was deflected into the net, his run in the box was a thing of beauty! I didn’t believe he would ever become a great player in the last three seasons but Almeyda converting him into a defender has worked wonders. Hats off to Tommy for another great game!
Dom Kinnear trashed Tommy Thompson’s career because he can’t handle skill. Matias Almeyda went out of the box and resurrected my dude on the back line. I owe Matias MY AXE.— Will Parchman (@WillParchman) June 30, 2019 1145242367345221634 is not a valid tweet id
Tommy gave an interesting postgame interview after The Classico. I like the fact that he personally thanked all the fans for coming out and supporting the team. He said it was like a boyhood dream coming true. Class act.....
Wait., I thought the term "inverted" meant they were playing on the side of their weaker foot? So, to be an inverted right back doesn't Tommy (stronger on his right foot) need to be playing leftback? Unless they have changed the definition recently.
Inverted RB in Berhalter's initial nats approach was moving the RB into central midfield when we had possession...supposedly to get numbers in central mid and then overload in the attack. Berhalter hasn't used that approach much recently though. He's playing his RB high and wide in possession. Tommy is doing really well...I think nats is a stretch as an RB against International speed...he still has to play off a fast attacker a little more than you'd like to see...don't know if that would cut it at the international level.
I understand what Berhaler is doing, but, Lima still has been almost exclusively on the right half of the field. They need to come up with a different term for it, and not appropriate the traditional meaning.
Yeah, it is always used for a mid. I think it is a poor term for a flank fullback since it only applies when we're in possession. On D, it is played as a status quo outside RB.
