I've never come across any results published in any Thai paper (English editions). I tend to rely on fifa.com and a site at http://asianfc.com for results. The Thai Pro League, although clubs are represented across Thailand, FIFA only really give information on the Thai Premier League, which is mainly Bangkok based, except for a couple of provinces. Both leagues are deemed as Level One. But it seems the winners a couple years back, Chonburi, made the move to Thai Premier League simply because it is a sanctioned competition by FAT (Football Association of Thailand) and gives the winners a chance of playing in Asian Champions League. Do you know when Pro League kicks off?
Thai in Notts - which team you follow in Thai Premier League? I follow Chonburi, simply because they are a non-Bangkok based team. Another team i closely follow is Bec Tero Sasana, because of Leesaw. How long you been in England my friend?
@ druryfire, actually I am working on a Patch for the EA FIFA Football Manager 08. With update of the database, Badges and Kits for the 3D game. During my research, which actually is pretty tough, I had found some sites in Thailand, where you or maybe somebody else can caught informations on the Thaileagues. Cause I had found out the informations on Google and Wiki are very rarly ant not actual ones. So I would like to post some links below: http://www.chonburifc.net - the page of the actual champ http://www.becterofc.com - Fanclub page http://www.thailandsusu.com - a good webboard with news and action pictures from the Premiere League down to the 2nd Division http://www.becterosasana.in.th - looks to me like the official page, but I am not sure Btw, do you have any idea how the relation to Arsenal London comes to BEC TERO? http://www.su1000.net/fc - Suphanburi FC Webpage http://www.coreballthai.com - Anythign about football in Thailand ( but didn't really checked the content so far) http://www.tobaccofan.th.gs - Tabaccoas Fanpage http://fbfan.winning.in.th - Very good page about thaifootball and the premiere league ( actually better than the official one) http://sakonnakhon-fc.justfree.com - I think should be the official one of Sakonnakhon http://www.customsfc.com - official page of Customs FC http://www.pea.co.th - page of the Provincial Electricity FC http://www.krungthai.ob.tc - Official Krung Thai Bank FC page http://www.sportzy.com - webboard with a lot of action pictures http://www.phitlokfc.com - Official page http://www.bkkfc.com - Bangkok FC webpage http://www.peafc.com/peafc.html - Official page of the Provincial Electricity FC http://ofc.osotspa.co.th - Official Osotspa page http://www.nakhonpathomfc.com Official Nakhon Pathom page So basically that's all I have. Maybe it can help someone. If I am wrong with my post, sorry for that, you can delete it. Just wanted to Help to collect and grasp some informations.
I am trying to find out through my Uncle when the season begins for Nakhonratchasima (Korat) and if its in the Pro League. Although being born in Bangkok I don't follow any team in the Premier League. I have been in England 15 years. I am a member of a Thai/UK group with over 2,000 members.
@ Thai in Notts, mai pen arai. As you are from Korat, I had forgot to add one URL. So it might can help you. It is from Korat Football. http://www.footballkorat.com
Arsenal seem to have a fair few relations with teams in the far east, hence why BEC play in Arsenal's colours. Arsenal tend to put money into training and medical / kit supplys and hopefully one day in return they will get the best South East Asian players.

Thankyou Locomotiv for the Korat Football web address and Druryfire for the list of past League Champions.
@ druryfire, is it possible to find out somewhere the promoted teams to Divison one from two? Even I checked all pages, I couldn't find the information. Or the information was written in Thai. ANd I am not able to read it. I guess as most of the Farangs.
This is the trouble with Thailand, eveything is aimed at everyone in Thai script, and to me, the people more interested in Domestic Thai football are the Farang guys, like yourself and myself, so gettign information is very limited. FAT are amaturish in this respect. They want to get Thailand to the World Cup, but until they can get something basic working, like a web site in English then they will forever fail. FAT never listen to the supporters, and last season they give teams games kicking off at 4pm on a weekday when most fans are working and can't make it to the matches, or as in last season, they allowed the National team to take away three quarters of the BEC squad for all age groups and then give them games on the same day, endign their title challenge, and other clubs get no games that match day but have full squads/ Basically, information is limited, and when given, it tends to be out dated. Yet they wonder why many people prefer foriegn leagues. Also, on this point, the domestic papers, such as Bangkok Post don't really cover the leagues as well as they could do, if they gave a bit more coverage then people might start to take notice. It's a pity as Thailand are a powerhouse in South East Asia, and little things to make them more professional would make them go a hell of a long way. As it stands, the AFC Champions League is set for a major over haul possibly for 2009 but more liely 2010, and the Thailand League will not be asked to to take part, but more professional leagues, such as Singapore and Hong Kong who don't take part in Champions League at the moment will be asked, their domestic league teams might fail at continental level in AFC Cup, but generally the AFC want a competition with only professional leagues to try and promote a more professional Football Assiciation and playign standards in countries that miss out - hence this will be Thailand, and nothing will happen until then.
Basically this sounds typically Thailand. And sometimes on other hand why we do love the people and the country. Totally agree with you. Thais are so crazy for football, might be there some several other reasons like betting, but I think the shadow of the FA Premiere League is too big. BP and National need to report on two pages about foreign leagues, espacially the big 4 in England. But on the other hand, those Papers are made for the Farangs mostly. I think only a few percentage of the Thais is reading them. Well when I am down in Thailand, I appreciate the reports about the foreign leagues, good for me (us) to be updated. But I wouldn't had anything against, to read something about the Thai League in there as well. And so far, as I could see from the Thai Newspapers, well, it seems the prority is somewhere else as well. Seems like sometimes it is more intersting what Tata Young and Khun Prem are doing. Anyway, my hope will die at last. If I can catch any information, I will post of course. And when I am in Thailand next time, that's for sure, I will visit a game. Btw, so far as I could see from the Thai Wiki, it seems that the Divison one will have only 16 Teams this year, and only one League. No A and no B. And that the first 3 will be promoted to the Premiere League. Due to all the infos I could catch up so far, I think about to edit the at least the German or English Wiki about Thai Football. If Thailand, one time, really should attand to the World Cup, which I dream to see, there is still a long way to go. And maybe the FAT should look to J League or cooperate with them, to learn something. But maybe this is a little bit against the "watontam thai".
Maybe you should speak it like watanatam thai. Simply saying it's the "Thai Culture." or "Nature" in that case.
I put a message out on the Nakhonratchasima (Korat) website and a guy led me to a site that will give all the fixtures, results and tables in English for Thailand Premier League, Division One and Group A and B for Division Two. If you click on the club name some of them have a website. http://www.geocities.com/polyon/thailandleague
@ Thai in Notts, Korp Khun mak mak. You have saved my day. Sensationell. Exactly what I needed for my Thailand Patch. And indeed it means, that the FAT have changed the 2nd League from a 2 Group system to a one league system.
The three Thai players on the books of Manchester City ares et to be loaned out to Swiss side Grasshoppers Zurich for the rest of the season. Read the article here: http://www.bangkokpost.com/Sports/15Feb2008_sport30.php
Just makes shaking me my head. But hopefully the are able to get some play experiance there. Btw, does anyone has an idea whether Th. PL will be shown on Thai TV this weekend? I was reading someting like 16:00 (Thai time) on Channel 11 but I am not sure.
Does anyone know when the season kicks off? I head two weeks about a week back, but nothing seems set in stone and i'm assuming i'll only find out once the first ball has been kicked, as usual
I,ve been told Thai Provincial League begins on the weekend 22/23 March but the clubs have not had their fixtures yet. My father has set up a Thai Football Group at Yahoo based in the UK. http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/Thaileaguefootball/
Don't worry mate. The Kick Off Day is tomorrow. The first Games are Kick Off 16:00 Local time (Thai). Check out here at Chonburis Webside http://www.chonburifc.net/ Directly under News. Even it is in Thai, it is easy to identify, the Date and the Kick off times of the games. And there will be also a possibility that we are able to see a live game. And it should be Krung Thai Bank vs BEC TERO at 16:00 local time. It will be shown on True Vision Sports Channel 3, at least according to True Visions Schedule. I have requested a stream via MyP2P. http://golf.cautela.nl/showthread.php?p=254647&posted=1#post254647 I also was reading that Channel 11 will have a coverage starting from 16:00. But I am not sure at all. I also have not been able to find a schedule of Channel 11, and I cannot remember where I had read that they will have a coverage. But you can check tomorrow 16:00 Channel 11 via that one : http://www.siamtv.org/start.html But it only works with IE and Media Player, as it is Active X. If you are using FFox, let me know, I'll have a solution for that. Btw, Chonburi was playing that week vs Krung Thai Bank already and had won 1:0 as it seems. There was also a live coverage from this game on True Vision and Channel 11, but I had read that too late. But I have no Idea what kind of that was. But for sure it wasn't a League game. @ Thai in Notts, thanks for the info. I will join the group I guess. Hopefully it is in English Division Two seems also to start very late in the Year. Cause if you check on FAT webside ther are only Premiere League and Diviosn 1 is set up so far. www.fat.or.th/ That's all for now, and I hope it has been some valuable informations for everybody.
Ok, so in the meantime MyP2P has added the game to their schedule. Can't wait and hope that TrueSports will really cover and the channel will be online. http://www.myp2p.eu/broadcast.php?matchid=6453∂=sports
Nice one mate, can someone please put int he scores after round one? If not i iwll do when i find them out, but i normally go through the AFC website and they don't find out until about 3 or 4 days later. Also, everyone doing good jump and thanks for keeping me updated.
