Well there's always something to talk about at FC, so it should have it's own thread. It looks likely that Butcher will get the chop, with Gianfranco Zola putting his hand up apparently, and Branko Culina (who i think could make a great coach in the A-League - but that's what a lot of people said about Nick Theo....) Meanwhile, they also need to find players fast for the ACL, and apparently they withdrew an offer to David Carney - what that means exactly i guess we'll have to wait and see
Re: Sydney FC Gianfranco Zola what an awesome coach. He could attract good Italian Players to Sydney and the A League.
Re: Sydney FC WOOT! I hope we can get Zola. Zola, Culina who cares I'm sure they'd coach better than butcher. Although Culina says it's news to him that he's being considered as coach.
Re: Sydney FC This thread is a good idea- maybe the original poster or Caesar can change it to the Official Sydney FC Thread [R]. The other trick is to get everyone to ignore the mexican trolls from south of the border. If any Victory fans want to post here- make it positive or don't bother.
Re: Sydney FC Good idea! Re Zola, although his track record as a coach is not great, why not take a chance? As least with him, we won't have Fozzie attacking the coach because he is not British...
Re: Sydney FC Petrovski gone to Mariners....... link Now he's no longer a Sydney boy, I wish him luck in his career, except agaisnt the sky blue!
Re: Sydney FC It's Branko.... They've named their squad for the ACL as well, with intereting signing Noel Spencer. Clint Bolton (gk), Jeremy Brockie, Alex Brosque, Dean Bouzanis (gk), Adam Casey, David Carney, Steve Corica, Iain Fyfe, Luka Glavas, Terry McFlynn, Robbie Middleby, Mark Milligan, Justin Pasfield, Noel Spencer, Nikolai Topor-Stanley, Mark Rudan, Ufuk Talay, Jacob Timpano, Nikolas Tsattalios, Ruben Zadkovic, David Zdrilic.

Re: Sydney FC Hi Guys, Did Butcher got the cut or did he resigned on his own accord? It's not that he didn't get results this season. I thought that he would be happy to take Sydney FC into the Asian Champion League? Hang loose
Re: Sydney FC Well the official website says it is mutual agreement, but it is more likely that he got cut.
On Wednesday night, Sydney FC will open their ACL campaign with a testing away match against Shanghai Shenhua. Corica is in doubt after suffering a training injury. Culina looks like he has the team heading in the right direction and is saying all the right words. Lets hope they do well!!
