The Aloisi count: $700,000 per goal! ;)

And even then it was only a penalty which he stuffed up once!

    Go Johnny!

We would be a much better team if we had a back 4 that knew how to defend, a coach that doesn't play dumb ass formations, midfielders that can get the ball upto the strikers, and if we didn't have Iain Fyfe.

    I think we need to set up our midfield/attack like this;

    ______DM_____
    RM____CM__LM
    ____ST___ST

Better imports safeguards the quality of our game for the immediate future, however we must also come into our own and develop our style of play beyond simply relying on foreign players to boost our appeal and skill. I long for the day when we can say that Australia truly has its own kind of football and that it is competitive against others on the world stage.

Bleh. Doesn't matter who we sign or what formation we play if no one wants to run with the ball.

By the way- if you check out the leagues & clubs tab at the top nav bar- you can click on becoming a Sydney 'supporter', and in turn you can also become a Melbourne Victory 'foe'.

I've joined the foe group and have added that great banner from last year as a pic- however, the Jest are about to take that tag well and truly away from them! ;)

    ********.

    Me.

That's all I have to say. Makes me want to play centre-forward again so I can replace him at half-time.

    First goal- off the shin.

Second goal- a re-taken missed penalty

How long did we sign him for again? Scratches head..........

Look- the guy can score- I remember the goal he scored against Japan in the World Cup- he has it- but obviously his head and confidence is not right atm.

All he needs is to score a cracker, and that will set him off- however, this season is looking like its almost a write off- of course I'm hoping we might scrape into the finals and show them all up, but its not looking good- at all.

Playing Aloisi at the moment is like playing with 10 men - he has no mobility, he can't lead the line or win one of Shannon Cole's set pieces (how many were there that game?), he doesn't have any interplay with Gan or Corica and should he get a knockdown he can't finish. We have to bench the ********er until he gets the hunger.

But to be honest, Aloisi didn't cost us the game - that was our stumblef_ck defense. Poppa may not have been physically up to it any more but we desperately need his leadership - Perth were waltzing into the gaps and it was apparent there was no communication. Fyfe is moving to the reds next season and is no captain. McFlynn can't come back soon enough.

Out wide Brosque and Petta can't/won't take on their marker, Golec can overlap but is really a CB. Cole was much improved playing up the park, but Middleby didn't have a great game, though he at least gets stuck in.

Tactically we're useless - still trying to pass our way into the box, our forwards still holding up and waiting for the ball to come to them and when that doesn't work we resort to hopeful chips to tightly-marked Corica/Aloisi. Cole's dead ball work was great, but we were clueless in the box and NTS and Harnwell are peerless in the air. Without wingers or overlapping fullbacks who can strectch them out we're all too predictable and other teams can park the bus all day without fear.

We may struggle into the finals but we're pretty much ********ed. Injury has taken out most of our best players and the other half are kids or don't want to be there. Kossie has lost the ability to inspire, and his press conference statements are taking the piss. I suspect there's going to be some kind of transfer of power at the end of the season - Poppa was wearing a suit...

Anybody can say what they will about our performance this season but you'll have nothing more concise or clear written than that right there.

    We. Are. ********ed.

Kossie needs to really mix it up. Take Aloisi off the starting 11, give someone else a go in the striker's position and just all out try something crazy and see if it works. What the ******** does he have to lose except for another game? We might as well experiment with the rest of games we have and try to coin something magical than continue with our fists jammed up our collective arses waiting for an out-of-confidence marquee to find his form on the ********ing paddock.

Of course the fact that we're still in contention for the top 4 will probably result in more of the ********ing same.
