Please use this thread to post about any OFFICIAL trades in connection with today's Superdraft (involving picks, players and allocations).

Do NOT use this thread to discuss rumors, only completed transactions. There's enough rampant speculation out there. ;)

What is the best site to be checking today for news on trades, etc?

I'm guessing that once things start, they won't be stopping for a while and the MLS site is not the best for "breaking news".

I would head over to Chris Bergin's site at www.ussocceruk.com

He gives a pretty good account of the rumors out there.

    TRADE NE/LA

It's being reported that the REVS send their 2nd Round pick and Chacon to LA for Reis.

Dallas just traded #4 to Metro! What did they get in return?

Galaxy so far have made four separate trades. Here is the overall impact:
Traded away their 1st rounder, #10 overall (Shavar Thomas), Brian Mullan and Matt Reis and in return received a 1st round pick next year and the #55 pick in this draft, the #16 pick (Scot Thompson), Alex Pineda Chacon and the #19 pick overall (Arturo Torres).

Trader Sigi was at his best today. Mullan and Reis were no factor in our title runs of 2002 or 2001 - basically spare parts. The first rounder next year can't be any lower than the one we gave up and could be higher. These moves amount to a significant net gain, especially if Thompson and Torres help provide additional depth. Chacon is a smart gamble with Cienfuegos gradually moving to the background. If nothing else, he could provide a nice late game spark to our often predictable offense.

I wonder if there is another move in the offing - we have quite a bit of talent in the back now with Thompson and Hong added to a squad that was already pretty good.
