I've been trying to keep the faith for a while now, but I'm afraid I need to see something a little more concrete. When I say concrete, I mean to have it sticking out of the ground. It really will be wonderful to see the above ground construction underway, but I'm not convinced the stadium will be completed in time unless construction starts ASAP. Even if it started today, I'm still concerned that the building will be finished on time.
I think this needs to be broken off into a seperate "Classic Concentration" thread... BTW: Happy Paul Orndorff Day!
Not a lot of time according to whom? BMO field was built in 14 months, including the underground work that we've already finished.
And looking at the renderings of Chester Stadium it is conceivable that it will be built just like BMO, but with a roof. It's all above ground, the sideline seating ends clearly appear to be a riser rather than build onto a hill as the Dick and Pizza Hut Park are so there won't be any additional earthworks to be done. If all the parts are prefabbed off site then it's just a giant erector set.
They have already rerouted the drainage run off that the pedestrian bridge on the riverwalk crossed over as well as other prep. They have been working.
