Well, that'll certainly rule him OUT of the 3 point bonus then :D

    hey hey hey.

My captain (Young) just assisted my striker (King).

    Cracking goal by the Hornets.

Now, Zamora just equalised within 1 min.

    Great game.

    Yikes.

I don't fancy my chances then.

Never know though, what with the silly way bonus points are given out.

I see where Captain Berbatov did his part. Now Captain Henry .........Oh, wait a minute, that's next gameweek. Go Captain Andy.

Just doesn't have the same ring to it.

Zamora could be one of those silly picks that makes a serious difference. Already has. A 6.0 guy with 3 goals already. What luck.

This was the plan, so I guess I'll just keep working it. But you get the feeling that some of these transfer rumors are about to break. Should add some spice to the player exchange markets.

    Out:
    Davis , M PO 5.5

    In:
    McCulloch , M WI 5.5

    Bank 0.5

    New Roster:

    Johnson, A , F EV 8.5
    Henry , F AR 14.0
    Zamora , F WH 6.0
    Jagielka , M SU 5.5
    Arteta , M EV 6.0
    N'Zogbia , M NU 7.0
    McCulloch , M WI 5.5
    Young , M WA 6.0
    Bridge , D CH 4.5
    Ferdinand , D MU 7.0
    Gallas , D CH 7.5
    Konchesky , D WH 5.5
    Taylor , D PO 5.5
    James , GK PO 4.5
    Reina , GK LI 6.5

    Payroll 99.5

    And bye the way,

Henry losing value is not something one can stand for long. You heard it here first.

As he should... Paddy's the star of my team right now

Of course, he made two point blank stops on Defoe in the last ten minutes... I'll need to talk to him about that.

Dawson gets the three bonus points and Lennon is the MOTM. Go figure.

At least the randomness of this season is better than the Actim Index bonus of last; where goalscorers (who already had enough points) got the bonus as well.

Damnit... I was going to elect Dawson captain this week, then remembered my Carragher debacle of week 1...

I had Berbatov as my captain and King as my other striker as well as Young and Essou-Katto in my lineup. Henry is on my bench, so it didn't come back to bite me in the arse.

My new goal is to only be down 100 points by gameweek 3

Nothing from Captain Andy. Now that Captain Shev has come through it is surely Captain Henry's turn. Did you hear that Captain Henry? Okay, I will repeat it.

NOW THAT CAPTAIN SHEV HAS COME THROUGH IT IS SURELY CAPTAIN HENRY'S TURN!

    Okay, did you hear THAT?

Really shouldn't complain. (But I will) I'm getting unbelievable results from everyone else except my first 2 picks. Henry and Gallas. But I know that can't last.

I like this better as well. It's certainly not predictable. And not seeing the matches makes it appear very random. Like how does Cattermole play 30 minutes for Middlesbourgh and get 1 bonus point? Then Bridge and Shev get the "3" and the "2" for the losing Chelsea side? My only hope is that reasonable people, who watched the match, could have come to those conclusions.

We will never get agreement on something so subjective.

Another of my complaints last year was that goalie's never got points. That seemed silly to me. They have fixed that. 3 goalies have already received bonuses, compared to 2 all of last year.

Cattermole's bonus is odd, but he's the kind of player who qualifies as a bonus magnet, and he did fire up the team on going in. Boateng should've gotten a bonus, or Rochemback, but Rochemback gets no love. I think it's for his ball-hogging displays of last season and his weird temper tantrums that turn into sharp-cleated fouls on the field. Bridge did that 'Garrincha' thing, as Wenger terms it, sprinting up and down that line all match long, and so he deserved some extra pie at match-end.

Dj put it better as he usually does:D but Bridge was Chelsea's best player yesterday and over 90 minutes probably the best on the pitch as was Sheva. Unfortunatly Capt. Frank did not put his sublime 80 yard sprint and perfect cross two inches lower:( and Chelsea's defense should have earned Boro's game bonus points.

Boateng was about a 1/4 second late on about 4479 tackle's not sure which bonus catagory that falls under:p Actually I think I would have given Schwarzer 3, Bridge 2 and Viduka 1

While we're at it. Why do you keep signing up for a new blog (which in turn generates a new URL) instead of just keep the one Small Rocks Blog with all historical data.

    Last year, we had:
    http://smallrocks20052006.blogspot.com/

    We now have:
    http://smallrocks20062007.blogspot.com/

When much simpler would have been:
    smallrocks.blogspot.com

I actually believe it's still available on Blogger, if you want to claim it and consolidate for the future.

Would a Champion's League draft game be insane?

While you're around, are you in for the FFLO auction or not?

The auction starts on Monday and I'll finalise the league on Sunday.

I'd be on that like white on rice. I loved the WC drafted league. I think it served as a good basis for how a CL drafted league would run. I'd vote for going ahead and starting a thread to see who's interested.

Oh, no thanks. I had originally signed it to try and see what it was all about, but that was before the crash. I thought my team was wiped out with that.
