hadn't commented on this before, but I think the Carew pick could be a very nice pick up for you. I'd been considering doing it myself but wasn't sure if I wanted to dump McCarthy for it.

at the midway stage of the second leg, Tally Road lead 55-30, but Class Act has the point machine Ronaldo to play tomorrow along with Rooney and Giggs, to Tally's Neville. The overall score right now is 96-97, so Tally Road needs some major help from Neville tomorrow to take the tie.

Rangers lead Raiders 39-36 going into the second leg. Rangers still have Rio and Scholes to play, while the Raiders have Van der Sar, Defoe, and Dawson who'll come in for Hypia to play. The overall in this tie is currently 80-58. The Raiders will need a lot of help to make the finals.

It is really ironic that the 2 teams most likey to reach the finals are ALWAYS switching the 3rd and 4th slots jus behind the two promotion spots. I was not too keen on the point award for winning this cup but now it looks like whoever wins the final most likely between our 2 teams is going to be the team to surely puch Tally and Rat Face for the spots. Still long way to go fantasy wise in this season though:)

Very true, if both of us do make the final, it will certainly make things a lot closer in the top 3, although I think we're on pace to catch the top 2 even without the extra points, you got Ronaldo who's tearing up the season fantasy wise, and I got Henry back. I was lucky that my team was able to produce while I was without Henry for quite a bit of the season so far.

I guess it all depends on if our players can keep form but you have plenty GW winners on your side and so do I. I hav Rooney,Martins,Giggs and co who can do anything on their day but you also got Friedel etc. One thing for sure the race for the league title is a 4 horse one.:p

It will be a fun end to the season I believe, especially with whoever wins the Sand Cup. I don't think I have as many GW's as you have, but I have plenty of guys that get plenty of minutes (Sidwell, Campbell, Woodgate, Parker, McCarthy). As well as guys that they love to give bonus points to (Henry, Scholes, Barry, Barton). My only real game winner would be Henry I think, but it's the consistency that I was looking for in my team this season. My team as a whole can go 15 deep if need be, each of the 4 guys on my bench still get numerous minutes for their club.

That is a also a big advantage. Only have one guy available to get substantial pts off the bench.

I think both ties have basically been decided now with about half an hour to go in the United-Spurs match. :)

I'll post the scores and stuff tonight just to make sure no late bonus points are added, but baring quite a few being added to people, the Sand Cup Final is the Raytown Rangers and Class Act XI

That could prove to be a good move depending on the severity of vds's injury.

Interesting that 3rd and 4th placed teams are finding form.

Tally Road's position at the top is fragile.

    Class Acts Reach Final

After a comprhensive victory against Tally Road FC, The Class Acts have reached the final of the Sand League Cup with relative ease and will play in the famed 30pt final. Ironically it was Manager Brian Alleyne who disapproved the idea of the pt final.:DThis is how the teams will most likely line up against each other...

    Raytown Rangers:

    Friedel,Ferdinand,Campbell,Scholes,Sidwell,Parker,Barry,Barton,McCarthy,Henry(C)

    Class Acts XI

    Jussi,Shorey,Ridgewell,Pogatetz,Dunne,Young,Ronaldo(C),Giggs,Martins,Rooney,Kuyt

Plenty of Matchwinners in there and whoever captain performs like the demon they are capable of will most likely win the tie.

The final is on the way with TCA having Shorey and Young playing and Ridgewell on the bench and Raytown having Sidwell & Barry on the field.

your problem is gonna be that your captain isn't even on the bench today for United.

and I leave Hulse on the end of my bench and of course he goes out and scores. :(
