Re: Official Sand Leauge 2006-07 season Thread

Here are the offical transfer rules that were posted in our pre-season thread please use them step by step when making a transfer (most notibly the message board parts)

Here is a promised combo of two posts from Hal on transfer rules:

Now, here are the standard player claiming rules we've developed.

    1. Plan your proposed trade. This means ensure you have the funds to make the trade and aren't violating any restrictions exceeding limits on players from one team. It also means ensuring the player you want is in fact a free agent and not already on another team in your league. For new players to the EPL, it means you physically checked to see that the player was added in the nightly database update, so you know his trade valuation.

I actually go through all the points of dropping a player and adding the proposed player to ensure I didn't miscalculate the tax deduction and I do in fact have enough $ to make the trade. Once I do this, I just don't hit the submit button, or I leave the window open to execute later, if I am the first to claim this player.

If I'm seriously trying to swoop for a new player, I have two windows open. One to be used to ensure the player gets added to the database, and another with my proposed trade all ready to post as soon as I add the player's valuation.

    2. Post your proposed trade in the Fantasy.PremierLeague.com Message Forum for your league. The proposed trade must include the following information:

    OUT:
    Player(s) Name, Team, Position, Valuation

    IN:
    Player(s) Name, Team, Position, Valuation

In the bank after the proposed trade. (This helps out during the season when fantasy.premierleague.com taxes some or most of the salary gain in the player from when you acquired him.

    3. After posting your proposed trade, go back into the message forum and see if your post was the earliest to claim the player(s) in question. If you went for a multiple trade and someone beat you on part of your trade, then your whole proposed trade is void and you'll have to submit another legal trade for the still available player(s). (Part of the risk of making multiple player trades)

    4. If you are first to claim the player(s), immediately go execute that trade. Don't wait 5 or 10 minutes, go execute.

    5. Go post your executed trade and a revised team roster with the new players in BOLD in your league's Season Thread at BigSoccer.com.

    6. Don't go away, stand-by for a few minutes to get the news that, OOPSIE, despite your planning, you made an illegal trade because at least one player you acquired is already on another team in the league.

    7. As soon as it has been identified and verified that the trade was illegal, you need to go back and drop the illegal player and add back the player you dropped, unless another manager has already acquired your cast-off. Now, you may not have the $ to reacquire that player, so you must announce the acquisition of a legally available player you can afford.

    8. These extra trades cost you 4 points, assuming the first trade was your first and free trade for the week. That's your penalty. Doesn't affect the weekly heads - up and cup competitions, but does impact the season standings table. The extra transfer deductions in the table take place when the week's transfer window closes.

We are officialy open for biz folks! I will be away in the montains this weekend and probably won't be checking in untill sunday! Hopfully I don't start off too poorly :)

    League Table After Gameweek 1

    Youth Save The Day

After being at the Bottom the league like a rock is in a glass of water the young duo of Cristiano Ronaldo & Wayne Rooney lift the TCA into double figures and into 3rd position. If Coach Brian Alleyne did what he was going to do in putting Rooney as captain he could be evein in first position and had one the matchup with Rat Face Villains in the Rocking League Cup. But besides that his team has rose 5 places and has won the opening matchup against Windsor Wanderers in the Champions League.
