    I'd rather have a good player than someone I want to put on display for Europe so yes to Koroki, who was good at keeping the ball upfront. Given how much this skills has been lacking in the team during the cycle, it was a good pick.

    Yep, too bad he was good at just that. I wonder how things could've went if Asano started the first game... I'm fairly sure there were other "younger" decent options

    i cant think of any other option that was more deserving. Koroki was scoring a goal per game in the lead up of the Olympics so he was in good form. And keeping the ball is a very important skill, mind, if our players were better at it, we'd have many more than we currently have in Europe.

    At least Hige-san (aka Koroki) didn't owngoaled our poor gks.
    However I think the opphensive spots must be youngsters place while reserving mf/defence/gk for the old geezers.
