Kakitani never really translated his international form into the domestic league. Culpi, manager of Cerezo Osaka, didn't give him much playing time and as of a result there was a fallout between the two. Around midway through the season he was loaned out to Tokushima Vortis where he started to regain the same form that he once had. He finished the season with 4 goals in 26 appearances. He kinda slowed down near the end of the season, but he's much better now than he was a year ago.

He also had a personality problem as a pro. He was late to practice a couple of times.

    Nice. Thanks a lot.

It's a pity Kakitani is not included, though. Do any of you know why?

But I'm excited to see Kanasaki Mu. He's got special talent. Where's he headed now that Oita is relegated?

Not sure yet. Kashima gave an offer for him too, i just read. Kashima, Nagoya, Urawa, Sanfrecce and Tokyo all tried to get him so far. Kashima/Nagoya/Tokyo seem to be favorites.

I'd love to see him play in ACL next year. He was outstanding during the Pan-Pacific Championship earlier this year.

Mito's Endo always gets picked for every other squad, so you'll see him next time. Probably won't make the Olympics of course.

was their best or close to their best U20 side. with Celtic's signing wonderkid Ki. Naoki Yamada apparently had a great goal to win it.

The currently U21 are the eventual Olympic team.

Why is S. Korea bringing PCY to this? I thought overaged were only allowed during the actual Olympic.

Because the Korea Republic citizens get military exemption or something or rather if they win Asian Games gold or Olympic gold or something like this. And PCY needs this and so does KSY of Celtic.

I see. Thanks for that. Seems kind of harsh when they both played a major role in S. Africa.

I agree and it sucks any Korean has to do it I'm sure there's enough people who'd join the army regardless. At the same time I respect that the Korea Republic government keep the rules consistent for everyone rather than a double standard cause they're pro athletes.

Apparently Monaco has stopped PCY from going. Also cause KSY is going it's unlikely he'll go to the Asian Cup cause it'd piss off Celtic to have him out 7-10
weeks of one season (which isnt unreasonable)

Japan U21 are beating China U23 1-0 HT. Average age of Japan is 20.6 and only has players who aren't regular pro-s (no Usami, Ono, Kanazaki, Kagawa etc etc). China has an average age of 22.6 so its their U23 side.
