For the few of us that can't pony up $400 to get to the cold dredges of Boston, the California Brewing Company in Alhambra will once again host the Official Galaxy MLS CUP watching party. All of our friends from the Riot Squad, Galaxians, Ultras, and all other Galaxy fans are invited to start your A.M. drinking binge as we witness the historic occasion of the G men winning the cup. They're going to have viewing parties at both Staples and CBC. Just take "official" away and everything will balance out.
Here's what's up. The Galaxy front office has recognized the California Brewing Company as the "Official Galaxy Away Game Viewing" venue. Every game usually brings about 50 to 100 people. Now, due to the importance of this game, they have opened up the bar/club at Staples Center for an "Official MLS CUP watching Party". The Staples place was nice... but it's a bit touristy. CBC will be more "party" oriented with chanting and singing at the TV. Staples will havea free "continental breakfas"t- rolls and danishes as well as a "cash bar". CBC will have not only their full menu including fish and chips and veggie burgers, but they'll be doing a special BREAKFAST menu with HAPPY HOUR DRINK SPECIALS. Besides, the most vocal people from the Riot Squad, Galaxians, etc will be at CBC. tm
