I remember in a video from about the 2006 MLS Cup, I think, they talked about how quiet Rico was. In the locker room before games, other guys are joking around, being dumb, but Clark sits quietly reading.
Rico contacted me to help put on a Soccer n the Streets day for Houston area low income kiddos back in the Summer of '08. He trained the boys and girls in the basics of the sport and I was jack of many trades helping him out where needed. Afterwards we packed all the cones and gear up where we got to walk the field and talk. He is a very humble man, great with kids, didn't need a whistle or hoot n howl his instructions around the field. Just spoke mildly and at ease. He's one of those dudes that is just real comfortable in his own skin. Quiet off the field. Then an iron willed, stealthy warrior on the day it means to kick some butt! Insanely proud to have him back in Houston colors.
