Dumber? More plastic? She knows exactly who she is and makes no apologies for it. I thought she was just hilarious and it was a great show. I know a number of people who watched it and everyone thought it was great too. I look forward to seeing the rest of the shows although I couldn't find it on next weeks tv schedule. Haven't laughed like that for a long time. Keep her on TV.
i admit that i saw it and thought it was funny too. like i said in my earlier post, i'm sure she was just pulling our legs because i really doubt she's as dumb as she appeared. i mean, c'mon. little people at the baseball field? it was an interesting to see this side of her instead of the typical paparazzi pictures.
i think thats the only episode they have, it was originally suppose to be a couple 30 minute shows, but since becks started to play for england again, they just made it one 1 hour show..
From what I saw (and yes, I was laughing my butt off watching it) she was perfectly natural in that environment..and I suspect that while she can be a little pretentious, at heart she is a little Cockney girl who hit it far bigger than she ever thought possible, and knows it...and what you saw in the show is mostly (not all) authentic...
I posted elsewhere that I liked the show too *ducks* I think she demands more respect for herself than most of the rest of Hollywood, because she's not ashamed of who she is.
I watched it and thought it was entertaining. You have to remember it's entertainment, so they are going to make her look a little flaky for the sake of the show. Nobody wants to see a boring episode
Oh, I got a good laugh out of it, but she is still dumb. I used plastic in refernce to her lack of substance, not her being fake. I actually like that she is who she is, but I dislike her "major" lack of substance. Even the Spanish media mocks her for being dumb.
I agree--I thought she was insufferable based on what I read and saw in the press, but after seeing her on TV, I think she's really funny and self-deprecating -- she knows what she's doing and doesn't seem to take herself seriously. I think she's a riot.
