That's the number MetroStars must surpass at some point during this season for respectability and honor.

In other words, it will be okay with all of you if every non-MLS soccer event outdraws the Metros this year?

there is more honor in the 20k of real fans in the stands at a Metro game than the 30k of ex-pats at a meaningless game getting exploited by a assclown with a kidtoucher's moustache

Ok, let's keep our common sense...I am from Peru and could not go to the game (had to work). From what i understand, Peru had not played in the tristate area in about 15 years.....The only reasonable comparison to MLS would be the first game in the first season, when fans were welcoming the idea of a league that followed after the NASL's demise (also about 15 years before) ...I actually thought the attendance was not as good as expected considering how long ago Peru did not show up around NJ ( largest Peruvian community outside Peru) OTOH Ecuador, well ,they get to see their team on a more regular basis

I'll tell you this: I didn't see anyone bolting for the doors before the end of the match as I do so many honorable mommy/daddy/kiddies at MLS classics.
