Omg actual drone sightings in NJ. "Nobody knows" where they're coming from

A New Jersey state senator is calling for a limited state of emergency over the mysterious drones that have been seen flying over New Jersey in recent weeks.

"The State of New Jersey should issue a limited state of emergency banning all drones until the public receives an explanation regarding these multiple sightings," Republican state Sen. Jon Bramnick said in a statement Tuesday.

The call came amid numerous recent drone sightings reported across New Jersey in recent weeks. The drones are larger than the type typically used by hobbyists, officials and eyewitnesses have said.

Jersey Shore representative says it's from an Iranian mothership out in the ocean...

    https://nypost.com/2024/12/11/us-ne...sman-claims-these-drones-should-be-shot-down/

“I’m going to tell you the real deal. Iran launched a mothership that contains these drones,” {Jeff} Van Drew said. “It’s off the East Coast of the United States of America. They’ve launched drones.”

That probably explains the origins of his theory.

Drones have been spotted over Earle Naval Weapons Station. They supply the Atlantic fleet with ordnance so maybe not such a bright idea.

The Flexible Flyer was invented in South Jersey. Here's Roby and his brother Mascarpone sledding down a hill to pick up the fresh pasta from the pasta truck

The Flexible Flyer was the Cadillac of sleds [back when the Caddy was king]. Too rich for my blood unless someone "abandoned" theirs. I think I had 3! :ninja:

I had that one; I guess it must have been part of my privilege package my dad worked so hard for.

Best sledding winter ever was when I was in middle school and they built a new development behind my parents house in a hilly area. The road from the highway went up a hill and was closed to traffic. Winters were harsher BITD of course. So it froze over for probably 2 months and we'd take our sleds after school to the top and book down over ice and snow nearly to the highway entrance. Gonna say it was between a quarter & half a mile & it was amazing. Even when it started to melt we'd meander our way down.
