We will see how he does, i think he will do just fine. Theres no doubt our forwards get the chance to score every game, our midfield is really solid and provides every game. Hopefully Reyes can capatalize, on most occasions.

"no me esperaba tantos medios hoy, pero estoy contento porque desde el día de hoy soy salvadoreño. Realmente es muy halagador ser parte de este país. Hoy quiero defender los colores de El Salvador con mucho orgullo, como todo salvadoreño. Además estoy muy motivado para viajar a Panamá y dar todo lo mejor", explicó el nuevo salvadoreño." -William Reyes

to be honest , i do think he could be good but , his Lack of International experience at any level Club, Country, should worry you. If he becomes good International, it will happen over Time and not overnight. the talent he has to compete against are much more better then the ones in the ES League, not to mention they have International Experience. If Reyes is to bloom it might be too late. Good luck , horrible draw versus Panama, it might go down to PK's imho.

well i have to admit that reyes scoring a lot of goals in el salvador the last 5 years concerns me a little, I would be more confident if baloy could play on sunday.

among all our forwards, i have no doubt that garces is the best, he has a torpedo un the left foot, fast, not a monster dribblig but, can score with the head too

All of your forwards are very good. All of them can come in and change a game, hopefully our defense which has been very good can keep it's hot streak going.

All this talk about Reyes....man..! The real question should be, should Reyes start off on sunday??? The guy hasnt play a single friendly game with ES, practicing with the team for just a week is just not good enough for me. Zelaya is young and has only play one game with the NT, the kid might brake under pressure. Chepe is a solid player but the guy siempre hace una de mas, hopefully he steps it up. So what do you guys think, should Reyes start off?? I think he should start and if it doesnt work put in Zelaya. Either way ES has to win is a must history calls for it!!! Panamanians thinking they got it easy against ES, who the hell is Panama? nosotros somos y seremos sus papas, Dale dale dale El SalvaldOR!!!!

Good point, it maybe quite a risk just to stick him in, although he has been training with the squad for about a week now - but we know DLC has a real fear of not scoring, and in his reign so far has used 36,584 different forwards, so i guess he will go with some new blood.

But Guatefc has a point, it is just normal to expect a player to take a little time to settle into a new team, or a new group. But the thing about his "lack" of experience i.e. he has been in El Salvador a long time (I thought it was nearer 8 years?) is that he really knows this groups of players very well, playing with or against them for years.

I really hope Williams Reyes does start and makes a real impact and is Salvador's saviour.... pues, vamos a ver...........

Can you ********ing believe I am on a ********ing aeroplane on Sunday 22nd June so will not be able to ********ing go to the ********ing return leg. Fairly annoyed about that, I can tell you .....

Man oh man, DLC cant make up his mind up now. DLC please dont experiment during the game, figure sh*t out. "Cheyo & Corrales at forwards?" is a possibility....

    Salazar - Marvin - Anaya

Pacheco - Sanchez - Jimenez - Coreas (Castillo) (Chepe) - Martin

    Cheyo - Corrales (Reyes)

.....interesting lineup, in my opinion thats a weak defense, dont like Salazar nor Anaya... im liking the mid-section :) .The game that we turned down against Chile could of been usefull now. Check out the pics at laprensa, whats up with soccer field, they forgot to cut the grass???

Hahahaha.....damn it sucks to be you buddy, :p. Yeah hopefully Reyes can mesh with the rest of the players in the team, if not it sucks a** cuz Cerritos could of stepped in the forward position, im not to convince about Chepe. Zelaya well,... he has not seen much playing time, but then again Cheyo can lineup as a forward. Im confident were coming out of Panama with a positive result. Le vamos a callar la bocas a esos tiro locos que ya se creen el brasil de centro america, que se lleven unos bates por si acaso nos toca jugar beisbol...."Dale dale dale El Salvador":)

IMO, this lineup looks more like 5-3-1-1 rather than a 3-5-2. To me it seems as though it would be Salazar, Gonzalez and Anaya at the back with Pacheco and Martin acting as Wing Backs. Then Jiminez on the right of centre-mid, Sanchez dead centre and Castillo/Martinez or Coreas as left-centre mids. Then Eliseo playing as a link man or attacking mid and Corrales on his own up top.

Personally, i'd rather see Anaya playing as a wing back and Martins being used as an option for the center-right midfield spot. I also don't know about Coreas playing in midfield, i think he'd be more beneficial up forward, but if we are gonna play a defensive linup with one striker then he'll be benched in favor of Corrales or Reyes. Either way i think that left-centre mid spot should be taken be either Castillo or Martinez (well from the three that where tried that is).

Re: El Salvador MNT 2008, News & Comments

i think i was misinterpreted, what i meant was with ESNT he Inexperienced and with his club *AT THE INTERNATIONAL level* his resume lacks some depth, i'm not doubting him in the ESL, no way! he is probably a mercurial Player in the ESL. but Disco Dale probably put it best you can't just Stick a guy in a expect to the same especially if he has never played for a NT before, and especially against a team like panama that has players with Numerous cap for Panama at wcq and non wcq. DLC is in a dilemma this process to find the right forward is going to longer then it should of and it can be a little too late for Reyes to work in a do or die type game, but atleast reyes could start a wonderful cycle in 2010, that i could buy, esp. with tons of caps.
