Yeah I know. I was reading a book about dopamine and his sexual exploits while waiting for the edibles to hit.

It's vinyl night at the bar.

We brought Fala, a Polish punk compilation from
    Siekiera.

And Oil and Gold by Shriekback.

Right now is Live in Paris by PiL.

Point Amber is pretty cheap around here, and pretty drinkable.

seein Wet Leg in a couple weeks, then Neko Case in October and The Beths in November.

Pretty psyched, been over a year since my last concert.

I didn’t realize she was coming and of course it’s at the Salt Shed. Good venue. I didn’t want to like it but I do.

lol - you're not the first person to say that about the Salt Shed. I didn't even know it existed until my friend asked if I wanted to see The Beths there a couple months ago, then we noticed the other shows and just went on a binge.

I’ll probably go but she had a Chicago residency years ago with the Sadies as her backing band. I saw her every month at places like The Hideout and Schuba’s. Hard to imagine the Salt Shed but good for her and her pocketbook.

Bummer but for my money, few better places to see a show than right there. I need to follow their socials or something to stay on top of who is playing there.

I’ll be extremely jealous of you in a few months. Like, holy shit, what a venue for him to play. Tickets are sold out and I can’t imagine what the secondary market looks like given the prices but I feel like you’ll be getting your money’s worth, and then some.

I justified the purchase donation because it’s for charity…

Saw the Kinks there in '80.

    Candy Man Blues
    Song by Mississippi John Hurt

Well all you ladies gather 'round
That good sweet candy man's in town
    It's the candy man
    It's the candy man
He likes a stick of candy just nine inch long
He sells as fast a hog can chew his corn
    It's the candy man

All heard what sister Johnson said
She always takes a candy stick to bed
Don't stand close to the candy man
He'll leave a big candy stick in your hand
He sold some candy to sister Bad
The very next day she took all he had
If you try his candy, good friend of mine
You sure will want it for a long long time
His stick candy don't melt away
It just gets better, so the ladies say
