He's a midfielder, right? Central or outside? He wasn't at the combine so Joe and Buzz's notes don't help. Who is he the long-term replacement for?

So we now have 5 defensive midfielders? I'm sorry, but I hate the way this team is going right now. It's time to take the offer off the table for Carroll and just move forward. 2 Carrolls, Simms, Olsen, Arguez. Am I missing another dmid? How about some outside defenders, or a defender period. How about some help up top. We're 5 and a half weeks from playing meaningful games, and it seems that all we've managed to do is continue shoring up the dmid position.

Pick makes sense, Olsen isn't getting any younger, Carroll obviously wants to go to Europe sometime soon, we really needed to go young at DM.

the entire coaching squad was on the phone right after the pick was made. are they going to deal this guy for someone else? even ESPN2 mentioned that they were all quickly on the phones right after making the pick.

They have him listed as both a Midfielder and a Defender

    Maybe a flank player?

Hmm, I would much rather that we had taken a chance on Findley. Here's what MLS Underground had to say about him in their draft roundup:

"8. Robbie Findley - The forward who has shown he is the most ready for the professional game. Findley scored the best goal at the combine and is a player who most insiders believe does not need service to score. He should be able to contribute his rookie season."

Sounds like the kind of guy we could use right now.

    Good Pick for DCU.

Can someone quickly explain the Greg Dalby situation to me? He just seems to have fallen from all of the mock drafts I have seen. Thanks.
