Oh a youth World Cup and the Confeds Cup before anyone started giving a shit. Damn, I guess you got me. I cant think of any overwhelming advantage you clowns had when you won the Confederations Cup. None at all.

At least we showed heart when we played. Mexico was getting ********ed in the ass from the minute this game started.

obviously your just trying to piss off the hornet's net cuz your mad your boys are going home. I felt the same way yesterday so i can empathize.

however to your question, we won the gold cup 2-0 over....uh...you the gold cup that mattered by the way. we won the concacaf qualifying. we won our group in the world cup. We made to the Confed Cup final and nearly beat brazil. With a better tactician we could have won. To be honest for being such a large footballing nation Mexico's achievements are underwhelming.

For the US being the number one nation with the largest population in the round of 16. Their achievements sure are underwhelming?

Stop being such a pathetic loser.

The keyword of my point was FOOTBALLING. USA is not a footballing nation..yet....but watch out my friend. If our large population starts playing the game en masse it will only increase your frustration as Mexico fan. Be careful what you wish for.

Well by this logic, then China, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Russia should all be world powers, but they're not. And Mexico has one of the largest populations in the world too. So what's their problem?

This bugs me a bit, yes I am happy that Argentina beat Mexico. That goal by Tevez was ginormous. An while it pleases me that they lost. Argentina is Argentina and there is no way we would have done better. No possible way.
I suggest we just keep to ourselves and not invite the trolls because we laid a worst one then Mexico.
We got beat be a team that we should of beaten. We played less then what we should have. Argentina was supposed to and did win vs Mexico. What was our excuse?

Exactly. Argentina played their game and we played ours. In the end we were mentaly undone. Because physically and skillfully, we matched them at times. It didn't help that Aguirre is one stubborn dude. Tevez goal was pure class(even though I hate him :D). One thing to take away from this... Cheech scored more goals than Rooney this WC. :D

Also stop belittling Ghana and putting yourselves down in the process... they played a hell of a game yesterday and simply beat you guys mentally by beating you physically. I think I enjoyed USA's game more than Mexico.... mostly cause I was screaming and swearing at the TV. :D

good post, although i don't think you should necessarily be so harsh on the US. there's really no way to know what would've happened, which makes this thread not only pointless, but sort of depressing. why would fans of two round of 16 losers be gloating over the other one's failure? the US played a nice game for stretches against ghana, but made a couple of mistakes and paid. mexico was playing perhaps the strongest team in the tournament and were outmatched. that, combined with some gutting circumstantial goals (counting a HUGE mistake on one), resulted in a pretty unflattering scoreline. neither country has bragging rights on the other based on these results. they both performed just about to their level, in my opinion. i think both teams are improving as well, so i think both the rivalry and future cup performances should only get better. i just wish we could drop the hating/gloating/ridiculing/schadenfreude BS and try to enjoy it. i think good times are to come for both countries.

    Exactly.

    Both teams are out.
The US got outplayed tactically and physically.
Mexico got outplayed just by the pure individual talent of Argentina.

Both teams also showed improvements and promise for the future.

All this "your team sucks more" is just sad. :p

Well then put Mexico as your country under your avatar then you won't need to clarify.

Yes, the one thing we can take out of this is that both teams are set to improve. Watching Futbol Picante on ESPN D is funny though because they think there needs to be a huge overhaul in Mexican soccer. When player like Chicharito and Gio, I'm sure they are doing something right.
In fact, perhaps the US Fed needs to change (and I think they will) Gulati is way to complacent and I feel like the fed is too scared to make changes that may benefit us in the future (Klinsi anyone?).

Well, it is obvious you are about 16 years old because your soccer history memory is very short.

You consider those "successes"? That is pretty pathetic.

Do me a favor and go check who has won more Gold Cups. Yes, Mexico. And who has gone to more Conf. Cups. Yes, Mexico. This is the first time the U.S. makes it in first place in your WC group and you are waving that in front of me as if it was a big achievement? Go and check how many times Mexico has finished first.

The last two games we have played against you we have won. If you want to look back at the past 10 years then I want to look back at the past 40 years. I know, Mexico has beaten you more times.

I am pissed that Mexico did such a poor job in this WC with the players it had. But it is laughable to me that US fans are making it sound as if the US did so well. You cannot compare playing Ghana to Argentina...a team with the best player in the world who will probably make it all the way to the final. Slovenia? Algeria? Tie with England because their keeper sucked? Get real.

When are the mods going to open the "Gloating about things that have absolutely nothing to do with USA Soccer but at least give us a reason to raise our self esteem and the perceived self worth of our team" message board?

I just don't see what this thread has anything to do with "USA Men" and there should be a board where all the Rossi, Subotic and Mexico threads should go.

The neg rep link is on the lower left side of this post, thnx.

That draw with South Africa looking pretty sweet in comparison? Loss to Uruguay? Oh wait, you rolled the dice on a joke from France!
