Howard; Johnson, Bocanegra, Cameron, Cherundolo; JOnes, Edu, Bradley, Torres; Boyd, Donovan Thanks to Goff of the Washington Post
Pretty conservative lineup. Will be interesting to see Cameron at CB and Boyd up top. I'm concerned that Edu, Bradley, and Jones are all going to occupy the same space in the center midfield.
Scratches: Dempsey, Rimando, Parkhurst, Goodson, Altidore Again thanks to Goff, I don't know why US Soccer is so slow on the uptake today.
Too many D-mids big surprise! It'll be interesting to see how the midfield lines up. The line-up reminds me of JKs 1st match v. Mexico which was listed as... --------------Buddle----------- -----Torres-Bradley-Donovan --------Beckerman-Jones----- -Castillo--Boca-MOF--Dolo- If he lines up Torres left Bradley central AM, and Donovan right like that again, he's officially delusional.
I would almost expect it to play almost as a 2-6-2. The midfielders job is going to be to control the game so that Johnson and Cherundolo can raid forward with impunity.
We seriously need to make use of the wings more. Doing well, considering 80% of the team are missing...
Uh-huh, and the US was missing its Eredivisie star striker, starting a brand new center back and worst of all missing its 24 goal Premier League midfielder. Remember when you were going to crush the US.
