    Today's result:

    Coventry 1-2 Leicester

...a great 25 yard blast from Billy McKinlay sent Leicester on their way... his first goal since '97!

Leicester are in second with 80 points and seven games remaining... three points behind Pompey and 12 points ahead of third place Sheffield United (Blades have two games in hand).

    E-I-E-I-E-I-O,
Up the Football League we go,
When we win promotion, this is what we'll sing,
    Leicester rule the Midlands,
    Micky Adams' team!

    Leicester 2:0 Grimsby

Leicester are on 83 points with six games remaining... 13 points clear of Sheffield United. Three wins in the final six matches for Leicester means that they're going up regardless of what anybody else does!

They're tied on points with Portsmouth for now... Pompey are playing at Walsall as I type.

The 2003 Leicester City Promotion Party takes place this Saturday at Millmoor right after the Rotherham-Leicester game ;)

The Leicester City Promotion Party was delayed for a little ;)

A reminder: With the first half winding down, Sheffield United and Nottingham Forest are tied 0–0... if Sheffield United do not win, then Leicester are guaranteed promotion.

    Table as of now:

    1. LEICESTER CITY 87, 42 games played
    2. PORTSMOUTH 86, 41
    ------------------
    3. SHEFFIELD UTD. 70, 40
