Once his transfer is complete, I really hope Celtic can give him some time to rest. He's been playing +50 games this year already. Also, SPL's season starts from August to May which doesn't go hand in hand with K-league schedule. I've seen some of his recent games (NT & FC Seoul) and I can definitely say that his form has degraded compared to his form earlier this year. He needs a time to rest.
I completely agree with that. I mentioned it in the previous thread. I think they will nurse him into the team but there is no doubt he'll see plenty of playing time before the end of the season. The winter month of January is probably a good time to give him a chance to recharge his batteries and get used to his new surroundings and teammates.
Sounds more like he's going to be thrown into the flames. http://sports.yahoo.com/soccer/news?slug=afp-fblscoprcelticrangerskoralghon&prov=afp&type=lgns
definitely had a stunning career when he was at Celtic, i remember that he was an integral part of Celtic's UEFA Cup's 2003 run where they just lost to Porto in the Final, but had a magnificent string of upset wins against Stuttgart and Liverpool
Scott Brown and Shaun Maloney are out at least until the end of January with injuries. It looks like Brown will go under the knife, which means one of the starting CM position should be available for the next few months. Also with Landry N'Guemo and Zheng Zhi leaving the team for international duties in January, I would have to guess that Ki Sung-yong will be thrown in the mix immediately as soon as he joins the squad.
That would appear to be the case. We still have options in midfield with Marc Crosas, Barry Robson, Wilo Flood and Paddy McCourt. But I'd imagine he may be introduced quicker than Celtic would have wanted it to happen. Then again, other players will be brought in during the January transfer window. But they're more than likely to be in the striking and centre back positions but you never know.
How do you Celtic fans rate Crosas? I've followed him for a little while because of his ties with Barcelona and while I'm not sure if he's got the class to wear the blaugrana, he does seem like a promising player.
He's the midfielder with the most ability at Celtic but he tends to drift out of matches. I still think he's getting used to life in the SPL and, unfortunately for us, playing with a lower standard of player. It's easy to see when he's on the pitch that he's a class act but he needs to be more involved in matches. If he can find some consistency he'll be a permanent fixture.
I don't think he has the luxury to choose his number as all of them are taken. The only one left is 18. He uses 16 for the NT and used 21 for FC Seoul.
Dangit. On the Zenit news... any thoughts on whether Kim DJ will look to play a few months else where? If I remember correctly he had some injury issues at the start of the Russian season... so playing too many games leading up to the WC without rest wouldn't be a concern in my opinion (unlike KSY).
The coach, Fred Rutten, said that there might be the possibility of a continuation trial in the spring for Kim Min-Woo: http://www.parool.nl/parool/nl/11/S...11/30/Goes-tekent-volgende-week-bij-PSV.dhtml
The last time I check their website they didn't even mention Kim Minwoo in their announcements about trialees.
