do we throw out the words must get some points from this(i would say must win but in this league a tie is not all bad especially for the burn in their current situation)

Win a home and tie on road is the motto in soccer regardless or a team's current form. Yes a draw this weekend would be very acceptable.

I would be tickled pink with a tie in NY this weekend.

I will be at Trinity Hall this weekend, see everyone there.

It's also on Fox Sports Net Southwest, with Brad Sham and Dave Dir at the mic.

Definitely a better option than tolerating the asshats who call the games on Fox Sports World.

Sham & Dir actually look over the rosters before hand and then watch the game in front of them.

First Item of Business: Stop the Bleeding. Stop the losses. Get the tie.

Metros can score goals - so we are already in trouble since we can't score.

Second Item of Business: Beat the Revs at home on June 12th.

4 points from the next 2 games and we are back in business.

    My changes to the lineup:
Talley back on the bench. Next to EJ.
Club foot Quill can ride the pine too.
Quit subbing out Davis in minute 60
I want to see Reyes on the field. We need another occasional offensive threat.

    -----Kreis---Nhlecko--------
    ????-Davis---Simo---Ronnie O
    Gbandi--Gibbs--Jolley--Reyes
    -------Garlick--------------

Actually I can take or leave Gbandi. Either way I need help on the left.

Maybe start Oscar in the middle and push Davis left. But I'm not ready to permanently move Davis out left.

I want to see Davis in there as well. Hopefully Kreis & Nhlecko can get something going.

i'd switch to a 3-2-3-2, but it may be a little unstable...

    -----Toni----------Kreis-----
    --Davis--Oscar/Nunez--ROB--
    ------Gbandi-----Simo-------
    ---Behnke---Gibbs---Reyes---
    -----------Garlick------------

Ease Nunez in by subbing him on for more and more minutes as the season progresses.

Alright - i'm young and ignorant, so if you guys (and gals) wanna school me, be gentle.

Well waht Buzz has been hinting at I believe is that Nunez should start getting minutes out on the left.

I tend to want to move Gbandi farther away from the offensive side of the ball, I don't have much faith in his passing abilities. Perhaps bring him to the back and move Reyes up to the D-mid spot. Having said that, I really don't like the 3-5-2 formation.

IMO this formation is too conservatice. We need goals by the bushell. I would much prfer 4 forwards 3 mids 1 stopper and 1 sweeper.

how about a 3-1-3-3? take out Gbandi, pull Kreis back to a withdrawn striker role in the middle and put EJ out there with Toni up top?
you're missing one outfield player there? only have 9.

Thx. Cannot do math. I suppose someone who can be an extra forward in the mid position. A cherry picker that can pick up trash an extra body that can help define or finsih plays.

I have high hopes that we will see the losing streak end this Saturday. The Burn has always done well in New York (Mathis' 60 yard run notwithstanding). And we've always managed to stop losing streaks at four. The Burn has yet to lose five straight, this year will be no exception.

I look forward to seeing T-Bone spinned like a top as the Burn score 2 and escape with a 2-1 vicotry.

I say we counter attack the sh$t out of them. New York is going to be looking to score 5 on us. The longer the game goes 0-0 the more desperate they are going to get, therefore getting exposed. Here's my line-up:

    ---------Johnson-------------
    ---------------Nunez---------
    -------Davis------O'brien-----
    ----------Stone-Simo---------
    Gbandi-----Benchke-----Salyer
    -------------Gibbs------------
    Cassar

Cassar in for Garlick. We all saw the turn around DC had after changing keepers...also after a trashing by LA, I might add.
Gibbs can sweep when someone gets beat. With his athleticism he can easily cover any of the 3 in front of him.
Stone can help Simo close the middle and shut down Guevara.
Davis and ROB can pop wide when we counter, provide possesion and keep Gaven and Lisi honest(4 assists each)
EJ can be the target and use his speed in counters or when we resort to the long ball.
Anyone else want to see Nunez? He can roam free. I hear he is really active and quick. He should get us fouls in dangerous spots.

Kries doesn't have the speed for this type of game. Nhelko can come in for Nunez or EJ. I would have put Wags over Gbandi...if he was still here.

my optomistic side wants to agree so bad but after last Saturday I'm really down. That was just awful. What happened to the side that schooled Chitcago?

I won't be in the country to see it but hopefully it'll be the case of I'm not watching so we do well.
