OK, so that game on Saturday night wasn't everything that we hoped for, but we still got a point, which means we're now a point closer to San Jose, who were cheerfully bending and submitting to the Wizards in Kansas City. (Honestly, I saw the game and if KC had any sort of finishing, they would've won 5-1. Then again, if we had any sort of finishing, we would've won.)

And those same Wizards are coming to town Wednesday night. Don't look now, but they're one of the hotter teams in the league.

We're at home, so we gotta get three points. No two ways about it.

Incidentally, all GA tickets are $6, so save your flexipasses and just buy 'em at the window for this game.

Put all pre-game, in-game, and post-game discussion here.

Yes KC is good. Actually, I kind of like their chances this year in the post-season despite their current table position.

They remind me a lot of Dallas. They don't break the bank going after "saviors" or name players out of desperation. They just find good quality players who are appropriate for their system. And they have an excellent coach in Gansler. Has any team gotten more out of it's signings this season than the Wizards with Simutenkov and Fabbro? They may not have the gaudy numbers of a Twellman, but they deliver WINS for KC. I think this will be a very tough game for us, and we absolutely must have the 3 points to maintain our position.

I don't know how we haven't beat these guys yet. Sure they beat San Jose, but remember last Wenesday they lost to NY at home, and I think we're way overdue on beating them, so no more BS, we need to get after it now, kick their ass catch up with San Jose a bit and get LA off our ass. GO BURN!

With Simutenkov and Fabbro as bargain-priced fixtures on my MLS fantasy teams, I'm hoping for a high-scoring goalfest.

Go Igor! Go Dario! Go Burn!!!

Unfortunately I'm out of town and won't be able to make it to the bargin priced match. But please, PLEASE, everyone bring a Dominos pizza box to the game to wave at Fat Tony Meola. I'm sure the lure of extra sausage and cheese will distract him enough while we pound the net.
Tell him about the nachos we have at the Cotton Bowl, they're so tempting. And the hot dogs? Deeeelish.

Do not let up on Fat Tony for one minute. Be the 12th man!

Sweeper, that's a great one! You should call the burn office, they could turn it into a promotional night - "The Dominoes Fat Tony Meola $6 Night"

This game scares me. While no one has been looking, KC has been putting up impressive numbers, probably the hottest team in the last month or so. Much like the Burn, they have tied numerous games, but those are games other teams are losing, meaning they are a tough team to beat.
And Preki is a nightmare, Dallas has always had problems with this guy. Cut, cut back, cut back again, shot, upper 90 .... ugh ....

Thank God that Preki is suspended for this game.

Suspended?!? Why is he suspended? Not that I'm complaining ... I just wonder why, he didn't get a red card last game. Yellow card accumulation?

    Good stuff once again.

For TV, you show none. MLSnet shows some KC station showing it - just to confirm, I assume this game is part of the Shootout Package. Anyone?

Yes metrosports is carring the game here in KC so It will be on the shootout package.

Why preki is out beats me. According to MLSnet it is becuase of violent behavior. That is all it says, and the Wizards site isn't much help at all.

What will Jeffries put out there?

    Kreis--Rhine or/and Cerritos?
    Martinez--Deering--Vaca--? Pareja, O'Brien, Zarco, Kreis?
Broome--Morrow--Bonseu--is Suarez ready? Hope not Olivares
    Flash Jordan

EJ is away at summer camp, as is Stone.

They must win. It's in the 90's now, and humid. Going to be a hot game.

Just a side note, because the thread is closed and my efforts to email elJefe were unsuccesful. The thread with the 2002 schedule on it needs to be edited.

Klein. Klein is why we haven't beaten them. If Broome can concentrate on marking Klein, then we can hope for a good outcome (especially since Preki won't be playing... hmm... of all the players in the league, Preki is one I don't want to miss :(

Anybody want to venture a guess on why we take so many short corners?

Because they're on the left and Deering is just going to send them over everybody's head and out of bounds anyway. We take less shorts on the right where we have a decent chance for a cross with Martinez.
