I don't blame Sanchez. How can you? The running back is garbage. The receivers suck (though I have hope for the 2nd round pick). The offensive line has Wayne Hunter starting on it. See? I haven't even gotten to Tebow yet.

The defense is pretty good, but its hard to win when your offense will put up 13 points on a good week.

it's going to be quite a train wreck. a dumpster fire if you will.
I had no idea the O-line was this bad. what the hell happened? we're only 2 years removed from a very solid O-line!
in a way, it's a self-fulfilling prophecy with the O-line being what it is. it'll be Denver all over again. the O-line won't be able to protect Sanchez. they will have to put Tebow in and run some kind of gimmicky run-heavy offense, and we'll see if the Jets are going to get the lucky breaks that Denver got last year and win as many games with Tebow at QB. the only question is, what's the over/under for Tebow replacing Sanchez at QB. I put the line at week 4.

I'm amazed that a team that hasn't won a Super Bowl in over 40 years and has no NFL titles can generate all this ink operating out of the same city as the current champs. All coverage of the Jets ought to be broadcast on daytime network TV along with The Edge Of Night and Days Of Our Lives.
Sanchez will probably go down to injury (Jets' OL) and Tebow will take over to do no better than .500 over the games he plays.

I hope Tebow eventually finds a team that actually wants him as their starting QB (as opposed to taking him --and his following-- because their current QB is not stepping up) so the public will finally know where to find their savior over the long haul, and the press can get back to the business of covering football.

I wouldn't wish Tebow to be the starting QB of any team - except perhaps the Patriots.

F#ck you. You know how to make it hurt.
The Giants (the coach and the owners) purposely go into hiding. So much so that they come to second rate facilities in Albany as opposed to staying at home for training camp.
The Jets are the slutty girl that will blow every guy in the school if they talk to her.

trainwreck+Tebow=SalPal time. Cowboys are fairly normal, nothing going on in Philly or Washington or New England. Jets are perfect August filler, especially since HBO isn't covering every inch. They'll get a sound bite each day.
He has survived this far with Wayne Hunter. He is fairly resilient.

That would be an Arena football team. He is a good player, but he is a shitty QB.

in rather un-Giants-like manner, both the owner and the coach came out of the basement to take a few pot-shots at the Jets and all the attention they're getting this offseason. it makes me glad to know that deep down, all the attention the Jets are getting bothers them a little.

Doesn't bother Coughlin at all. I can assure you of that. It wouldn't bother the old dead Mara and Tisch, either. It does get the new, younger owners a bit. Easy to joke right now, they got a Lombardi Trophy. Curious to see how 'funny' they are if they suddenly go 6-10. Though it doesn't much matter, NY is such a Giants town it really doesn't matter. All their tickets are sold.

I'd happily put him in Baltimore so my Steelers don't have to deal with an improving daily Joe Flacco. I don't think New England has another Lombardi in them anymore. But without Cundiff's miss, the Ravens just might have won it all last season.

Sorry- didn't know that either of you (let alone both) were Jets fans. Thought this was just random discussion about a team getting more press than they've earned on the field. I would have worded the post differently out of niceness.

yeah, based on the Jets' off-season, it was about the season I expected.
Woody Johnson needs to clean house - starting with himself. the circus needs to leave town.

Someone on the radio said "can't Woody just go back to running J&J?" Haha - I don't think the man even knows how to open a Band-Aid.

I'd just be happy to see him return to his position in the Romney campaign. Not a good year for the Wood-man.

Hopefully Tebow and Sanchez are out before next season. Two of the most overrated players in the NFL right now.

But as a Jets, I fully expect another season mediocrity whoever ends up as our QB.

Really? Not keeping up with the team eh? You are aware the Jet's D coordinator took off to bluer pastures, Buffalo. What does that say about the team?

Don't know about you, but a reuniting of the Ryan boys? It's perfect sounds perfect for a dysfunctional team like the Jets and Woodrow.

Alberto, I don't turn to you for Jets news. Thurman is going to be promoted within the team to D-Coordinator.

Now now there's no need being incredibly dismissive. I see you failed to see the humour in my post.
That's too bad. It would be infinitely more enjoyable for Rob to be hired by the Jets. Let's face it Rex is very likeable, but has proven to be a better defensive coordinator than head coach.

so why do they need a second equal d-coordinator? for your humor? Again, not Jets related.

What a humourless fellow you are. You that certain the Jets will promote from within?

Honestly anything is possible from this team. Quite a shame how quickly things have deteriorated after the initial promise.

You really have to question what this team is doing. Mike Westhoff had some interesting remarks regarding Tebow at his retirement press conference. Quite sad and pathetic.

    http://m.nypost.com/p/sports/jets/mess_call_05OFgcbFiB1ZnBr4v7ud2H

This press conference also possibly further affirms the belief that the Tebow signing was strictly to generate interest and ticket sales. That the Jets had no interest in playing Tebow. If this is indeed the case I say more power to season ticket holders who say screw paying the PSL. Quite honestly, given the amount of money that was contributed for the stadium construction by the state and public agencies, I have always felt that all fans on principle should have boycotted and not purchased any season tickets. Stupidly people payed hundred and many thousands of dollars for the "right" to have a seat. A buddy of mine swallowed the Koolaid on the PSL. It's theft! Highway robbery! Greed of the highest order.

Woody really is a twit. It amazes me that he threw Tannenbaum under the bus yet again. How refreshing it would be for Woody to come clean and admit Tebow was brought to the team to bolster PSL/Ticket sales. Bloody pathetic.
