Frankie was one of the five players that St. Gallen did not invite back from their winter break. He has been gone since mid-December, but his contract status was up in the air. If was a given that he would not return to St. Gallen, but where he would end up was a mystery. Also the afore mentioned Bayer loan sort of scrambled the release. It seems that a solution has been found.
Re: Re: Official - Hejduk Out Of St. Gallen Actually, I think SJ gets first dibs, don't they? Reverse draft order and all puts SJ just ahead of the Crew in the Frankie sweepstakes. And FY could use him on the right, either at back or mid. Of course, officially, SJ also took a pass on JMM. Shouldn't FY get something for looking the other way on that one??
Re: Re: Re: Official - Hejduk Out Of St. Gallen You would think so. IF Hejduk ends up on the Crew - it would be really suspicious to me. San Jose has a need to fill in Barrett's absence. Hejduk can fit in there nicely. SJ also has cap space with their recent departures and the un-signed Eklund. I would think SJ would want him. He and Landon seem to get along pretty good.. I'm trying not be a conspiracy thoerist, but its getting hard.
frankie would immediately become my new favorite quake. look who we've lost: cannon, graziani and barrett. all three could start for just about any team in the league. frankie would be a nice consolation prize.
