    The ball gets rolling tonight.

6:00 MT at the Toolbox - Canada vs. Jamaica

Will Omar get the start up top?

I sure hope so. I have been critical, but when Casey was called up he really proved me wrong. I would love to see him net a few for the Jamacians this tourney.

I am irritated that Casey has been called back into the US camp. Bradley better start Casey in every freakin game to have him away from the Rapids for another month.

Omar did not start the Jamaica - Canada match that just kicked off. He is available on the bench however.

Omar has checked into the game in the 82nd minute with Jamaica down 1-0.

Cummings got 1, maybe 2 touches as Canada controlled play for the final 8 minutes plus 2 minutes of stoppage. Looking at the rest of the group (Costa Rica, El Salvador), Jamaica's chances to advance are really hurt by this loss, which may be a good or bad thing depending on your point of view. ;)

So... about the US - Grenada game tonight. Poor Grenada. The entire country's population is approximately half that of Colo Springs. Could you imagine taking half of Colorado Springs and trying to field a National Team out of it?

I hope the US plays sharp. Even if they don't, they should win this one by 4-5 goals.

To be fair, Grenada has a total pop. of about 100k.

The Springs have an est. population between 400k and 600k(depends who you ask).

So, they don't even get half of the Springs.:D

Colin Clark didn't even make the bench for the Grenada match.

Sad and I can't say I'm surprised. I hope this experience helps Colin improve his all around game, decision making, movement and passing.

What Clark does well, he may do better then any other mids on the U.S. Gold Cup team. But he's behind in a lot of the more subtle aspects of his position.

Sadly for Colin left midfield looked to be sewn up for the rest of the tournament unless Robo-Bob mixes it up in the Haiti match.

I would be surprised if he doesn't mix it up.

In the grand scheme of things this is a third class tournament the outcome for which doesn't mean anything.

Hi everyone...I have an important question (VERY important hahaha).

I am visiting Denver for a math conference, and my hotel is on 16th street downtown. I was wondering of a good place close by (walking distance) that might be showing the USA game on wednesday. Any help would be appreciated!!! I am enjoying my visit very much.

if you want to walk to 2052 Stout St. then you will arrive at the british bulldog. perhaps the most friendly and best soccer pub in denver.

but riddle me this. what is 3+794-9345+43-984637-5-1+9-3= ?

If that's too far, supposedly Katie Mullins right on the 16th St. Mall shows soccer. Haven't been in to check it out myself.

The British Bulldog is the place to go though.

Katie Mullins is literally next door to my hotel. I was there last night but wasn't sure if they would show the game.

I'll ask in the morning otherwise I will be at bulldog. Anybody here gonna be at british bulldog?

just walk north up broadway maybe 6 long blocks and you'll be there.

besides. if you were just at katie mullins and you're not "sure" if they will play the match on tv. then don't bother. make the walk to the bulldog. it is less than a mile.

i can't make it. i got to check in with my probation officer every wednesday of the week.

Omar has gotten the start against Costa Rica. It is late in the first half and he has had several chances and is looking very dangerous.

Jamaica lost 1-0. Even though the best 2 3rd placed teams get through, Jamaica needs to beat El Salvador over the weekend and get some help if they're going to advance.

On the bright side, if they don't advance we'll get Omar back for the DC game on the 18th.

Haiti and Fabrice vs. Grenada tonight 2 hours before the US vs. Honduras match. I'm not a fan of politics and football getting mixed up (it is inevitable though) but tonight's Honduras match in DC will probably have a little more than a routine security presence. Sam's Army has been told to arrive at least two hours early and to bring no liquids in containers larger than 3 ounces?

So I gather Casey and Mastreoni are on the roster won't actually be called up until later rounds, is that correct?

I still hate this tournament this summer.
