Apparently Fire take Nate Jaqua with 3rd pick.
Metros take Magee with 4th pick.

MetroStars get clark and magee with their first two picks. Not a bad draft so far for Bob! Not sure I understand Dave/Petr's pick yet. Maybe the trades of draft picks is setting something up?

    #3 overall???

I am not sure that Jaqua was/is worth the #3 pick overall. I have little doubt he would have been available at the #18 pick. This makes little sense to me. But then again, I am not a scout. Hope this works out.

    WTF is Nate Jaqua

Well, he wasn't on anyone's short list but if his Dad played for the Redskins, he can't be all bad. :)

I've heard Jaqua is pretty good but I don't understand why we passed up Mike Magee.

DC and Chicago take timeouts. Should be interesting...

Why is the MLS superdraft window so hard to load? Is anyone else having problems? It's maddening trying to get any draft info.

Way to hype the draft MLS.

Everyone I've been talking to has had problems. Too many people? I don't know. The Fire website has something that updates. I'm even having problems with BigSoccer.

Jaqua doesn't seem like a bad choice. He's one of the few guys from the combine that was actually listed as both a midfielder and a forward, so we may be splitting the difference on which one we need.

So far, Metro and Columbus make the least sense. Bob, why Magee AND Gaven? Is is me, or is that just drafting the same player twice? And the Crew have Martino and Maiz, so I'm not sure why they need Diego Walsh, although he could eventually replace Maiz, I guess.

I think Bob is going to be trading Magee back to Chicago for something, what I'm not sure...

    Quick hits on Damani Ralph...

    Forward
    UConn
    22 years old
    6'0" 170lbs.

Got a bunch of mentions in the combine reports, and has also played left mid.

    Not bad, not bad.

UConn’s Damani Ralph led all BIG EAST players in overall scoring 41 points) and goals (18).

    20 LA - Ricky Lewis

  21. Isn't Kelly Gray from Portland? Maybe he knows something, or maybe they are looking to benefit from existing chemistry between those two.

    Looking for reasons.

Also looking for some reasons to hope and feel good after the draft. I'll be gone all weekend, but keep the good info coming guys. I look forward to catching up on the latest questions on our roster to be answered. I hope they turn out to be good answers!

I'm sure Sergi Daniv would like to know the answer to that question. At 22, I'm guessing TI. He's from Jamaica, for those of you who are wondering.
