But that's not backed up with stats if you ignore the games outside of FIFA windows and you take into account injuries like your bs about Trapp being selected over Adams.
Berhalter himself explained that he chose Trapp over Adams at the #6 because Trapp is a "controlling midfielder" and Adams is not. You know that fact because you have been part of that discussion several times that I can remember.
Berhalter isn't awesome, and played Wil Trapp over Adams in CM in one game 5 years ago. My assessment is that we should fire Klinsmann again.
Every country uses players from their domestic league from SK to Japan to Colombia so what is the crime when the US does it?
Is there any irony in the fact that Klinsmann brought more MLS players and started more WC players than Berhalter at the World Cup?
So what, you brought up Trapp over Adams. Klinsmann was fired almost 7 years ago and you are still whining about his time. I will always give Berhalter credit for not shying away from his decision to select Trapp over Adams at #6. He answered questions from the press and explained why he was doing it. He planned to continue doing it as evidenced by the Gold Cup roster which had Adams as a defender and Trapp in midfield. Folks like you and a few others who want to do a trump-like revisionism and say it did not happen are just sad.
What kind of "stats" do you want to show poor MLS lifers fpgot repeatedly called up such that we never even looked for quality depth and our key players didnt get enough time together to build an understanding of each other?
Bigsoccer has a policy against link dumping. I'm pretty sure that would cover a 35 minute video. At least point us to what's interesting, otherwise, it looks like you searched youtube and then just posted a link.
If I have violated the BS TOS please report me to a MOD so they can put me out of my misery. Someone posted that on the expectations thread. I had not seen the interview before and thought that thoughts from a former player would be useful on this thread. I don't see why I need to filter anything through my own biases as far as what I find interesting.
You are worse than Baghdad Bob dude, it is all over the threads, start with the Coaching Philosophies thread.
If I did that It then would turn into a pedantic semantic discussion about soundbites which is just tiresome. I think that GCam's views (positive or negative) as a former player is useful information for anyone wanting a serious discussion about the Klinsmann tenure. As anyone who were around the program will attest, Cameron and Klinsmann butted heads at times so Cameron's comments 7 years after JK's firing are interesting. Start at 4:40 "Jurgen was a game changer..."
Has anyone every seen the guy who says JK is the worst ever and loves gregg not be two different guys in the same room?
Dempsey on Sunil calling and asking about Jurgen: ~5:00 for @superdave “People still want to play for [Berhalter]. The players were involved in those conversations.”@headdturnerr opens up about the Gio Reyna-Gregg Berhalter post-World Cup fallout, and his experience within it. pic.twitter.com/qvjMGqQLBB— CBS Sports Golazo ⚽️ (@CBSSportsGolazo) October 4, 2023
... or get a job. That's not my job." Supports the Ringer Article where Deuce was said to tell MN90 to essentially go pound sand when Bradley was trying to foment an anti Klinsmann revolt right after WC2014. Dempsey talked about disagreeing with Klinsmann and that Pulisic should have (gotten the start) vs Argentina. (Wondo got the start). He talked about getting a call from Sunil post-Copa where he told Sunil that Klinsmann was great ... because that was the truth. More perspectives from the players who were involved as opposed to the stuff you see from BS posters.
You know I got a guy that works for me who is good at keeping the property clean but when it comes to managing tenants you got to really force him to give you the truth. You seem to be implying something because JK is your guy. Clint doesn't say he wants JK to stay or go, he says he doesn't want to be the guy. Some people like to stay away from conflict of any sort. I don't know the psychological definition or explanation but there are people like that. But yeah sure, Clint was JK ride or die.
You're also conveniently overlooking where Dempsey said to Michael Bradley that "I wouldn't have done this to your dad, I just want to score goals and go fishing." If someone had wanted to revolt against Bob Bradley (and there was discontent with him as well, especially in the last year of his tenure), Dempsey would have had the same reaction. Dempsey wasn't "Klinsmann ride or die". He just didn't want to rock the boat and stay out of any potential conflict.
I never said that you just make stuff up. This is the 3rd or 4th time you have just made something up out of nothing. Deuce never said that. Neither did Cameron, Beasley, Herc, JJ, or any of the other players that have commented about Klinsmann over the years. I am interested in the reality of what I saw and what the players experienced and thought from their own mouths.
Not overlooking anything. I referenced the Ringer article so folks can go and read for themselves. Your spin on what Deuce would do or not do to Bob is just yours.
