Good late pick. He can play off the bench.

I woulda thought he would have been one of the very first picks...good player, cheap.

Supposedly they'll be playing a 3-4-3. He could be one of the 3.

We lost EZ and Thiago to Chivas, and Ara to RSL.

All in all, we made out pretty well.

I would have rather kept Ara than Q2, but so it goes.

Sorry to see Thiago go. :(

On the plus side, I'm glad we were able to hang on to Cheyo Quintanilla. He was really starting to develop into a nice, creative player towards the end of '03.

Anybody think we could trade Q2 to Chivas for one of their gringos?

mlsnet's draft tracker has Chivas selecting Ziadie instead of Walker and no mention of Martins yet. It also shows RSL selecting Chris Brown and Behncke instead of Pierce.

Anyone watching live want to confirm/correct the MLS draft indications?

We still have Q2?! I would much rather have Ara or Martins over him.

They didn't pick anyone I'd trade Quintanilla for... except maybe Ezra!

DraftTracker is now officially useless, btw. It's about half an hour behind.

Perkins stays, Quintanilla stays.....not bad for DCU. We really need to find that centerback now with no EZ to provide cover.......calling Gregg Berthalter.

Yeah, maybe we can trade him for draft picks...

According to it, the Quakes got to protect Conway when Brown was picked from the Revs. Talk about your weird MLS rules :D

As between these guys I think it's virtually impossible to say anything since they all got virtually no PT all year (did either Martins or q2 even step on the field? I at least remember Ara from the 5-1 beatdown at Dallas). I would have thought Chivas would have taken Quintanilla to appeal to the Salvadoreno population in LA.

    OK

The useless matchtracker showing Troy is protected. Yay!

Actually the more I think about it, by keeping Lawson, he provides coverage for the same positions that Ara did. So unless Kevin was going to be turned into a central defender, losing him really doesn't hurt us.
