Bush up 53-47 in Ohio with 46% reporting.

Burr projected by Fox to win NC Senate race.

John Lynch is running slightly better of Kerry in New Hampshire...looks like the Democrats will pick up that Governor's seat.

If Kerry loses Ohio, its over. Ah well - I had a suspicion Bush would win this. C'est la vie. At least when my grandchildren are paying 80% income taxes, I can tell them how I got a nice little rebate back in 2005.

The Douchebag of Liberty is now saying that his sources are saying that "Ohio is coming back to Bush."

And everyone is ripping exit polls.

Bowles ran a crap race. The two guys ran on literally the same platform. They each kept stealing from each other. In the end, Bowles' look is gonna kill him among rednecks, plus he worked for Clinton.

When a guy runs such a terrible race, I really don't mind if he loses. He wasn't gonna do anything worthwhile anyway.

I don't think the fat lady is even clearing her throat yet, but if GWB gets FL AND OH, you're right, she'll be making her way to the stage.

For all the credit Zogby got in 2000, he's been off the last two. Excusable in 2002, not too excusable this time around.

As I mentioned on the polls thread, Gallup may get to serve a great big cup of shut the f*** up to everyone.

As I see the Ohio numbers, the votes Kerry is likely to make up in Cuyohoga is about equal to the votes he needs to match Bush.

Which leaves the rest of the state.

Senate so far in close races:

Burr over Bowles NC - Rep +1
Obama over Keyes IL - Dem +1 (duh)
Demint over Tenenbaum - Rep +1

Net + 1 for Republicans so far with Salazar looking strong over Coors but Daschle and Castor in very close races with Thune and Martinez respectively. Surprisingly, Vitter (R) in Louisiana is drawing 51% in the strange rules of his state and might actually win a seat tonight (I don't know the district breakdown of this state).

I dunno. Some of their polls were so wacky that even if they got it right at the end, I'm not sure they can gloat.

As expected, California has been called for Kerry and Idaho has been called for Bush by CNN.

As an aside, in comparing CNN to the other networks, they seem to be a bit more conservative in calling states than the others.

Ohio is by no means set in stone, it's back to 52-48 Bush with a one point loss for Bush/gain for Kerry on 6% additional reporting.

They're not strange at all. The entire country should follow LA on this one.

Yes, you are smarter than every single person in Bush's 53%. Congrats! At least you can comfort yourself in that...

Unless they haven't counted the early votes in Florida, that's gonna go for Bush.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but so far, everything is exactly like 2000, except mighty New Hampshire looks like it's gonna swing. That would have been enough in 2000, but the census cost the Dems...7?...EVs.

    Great...another ~272 vote "mandate."

As an American, this was the last thing I wanted. Even a small Kerry win wasn't my idea of a great result.
